I love farmers' market fruits stands.Becnel offers real honey and fresh fruit and veggies that are reasonably priced. There is a large assortment of pickled veggies & Sometimes on certain items they offer, buy 1 or 2 ,get 1 or 2 free. The nice young man in the picture was very helpful.

Ben & Ben Becnel’s Farm has the best citrus! Their Louisiana navel and blood oranges are fantastic! The navels are so sweet and the blood oranges are soooo juicy and melt in your mouth. I can’t wait until next season! ❤️❤️❤️

I stand by my 2017 review for this place, you are basically buying from the source here for satsuma organges in particular (like in the backyard). The prices are better than in metro NOLA and although its a drive IMHO its worth it. We also got some creole tomatoes and some sauces. When in NOLA during Satsuma season its my go to place.

There wasn't much a selection of fruit or vegetables. I had a $50 gift card which expired on Nov 30. No exceptions.

I enjoy farmer's markets in general, and I love Becnel's Produce. Tomatoes and bell peppers are delicious. I usually stock up on cucumbers, squash, and strawberries when they're in season. I also bought a cantaloupe and a seedless watermelon today. I haven't tasted them yet, but I expect to enjoy them, given past experiences. They're a little out of the way for me, and the location makes it a little difficult to return home the way I came. I also wish they had more fruits and vegetables from which to choose. Parking is just a few steps from the produce. I enjoy browsing their canned and prepackaged products, too. I've bought (and enjoyed) pickles and various packages of nuts. I look forward to my weekly trips to Becnel's.

Lovely stand right before the belle chasse tunnel with the best, crack-like addicting seasonal tomatoes, cabbage and other assortments of veggies. I've used the honey to brew meads and the spicy jams for healthy cream cheese dips...I get my eggs here as well every weekend and have had the most pleasant interactions with the staff. I respect that they still take care with distance and sanitation even after the pandemic and can't imagine the patience and training they must have to endure some people who feel otherwise. Highly recommend here or the other location for the best local and organic foods!

Get the best local, fresh produce, seasonally w/o driving all the way down the "Parish". No tax on the produce that they grow. Terrific Tomato's, cucumbers, okra, broccoli, cauliflower and citrus. Very friendly staff, and easy parking. Look for the free samples and special deals, as well as live, citrus saplings.
