“From the time my wife introduced me to the owner Colby, I knew and felt that we were in good hands with entrusting him to do our reception for our wedding. He is very humble, well mannered, knows how to talk to people and is very orderly when it comes down to doing business. The event hall itself is a hidden gem ? that is downtown. For the location, the price and quality of the food we got we were very pleased and highly recommend it if you want something affordable and frugal, but nice and elegant as well. This is the place to go with and the owner Colby doesn't disappoint. Me and wife are somewhere on his website so that ought to tell you how good of time we had. The items on his menu that we highly recommend are the Seafood Dressing, the Baby Back Ribs, and the Boudin Balls O.M.G. everything was really good and nice but those three went like hot cakes at our reception. The Infamous Seafood Dressing is pictured below lol.”

“Last time I went to this Movie theater, we parked (free) in the parking garage and walked the short walk to it. It is so beautiful. Everyone from ticket sells to concession was so nice and polite. The quality of the sound and large screens were great. There wasn’t any horseplay going on and it was a very pleasant experience. We are returning today to see Downtown Abbey since our Top Hat popcorn buckets came in yesterday. I’m looking forward to another great experience.”

“Cozy little community space with a stage. Must bring your own seating or you'll be standing for the entire event. Some concerts can get crowded and lines for drinks, food, and bathroom can be long.”

“Everything was AMAZING!!!!! Shannon and her staff were sooooo accommodating, friendly , and professional. Shannon was just an absolute pleasure to work with. Every step of the way. I’m so so glad we chose to go with Ashley Manor for our wedding. We did an outside ceremony with the reception inside. They helped coordinate and time all the events. The food and drinks were amazing as well. everyone talked about how fantastic the food and drinks were. If I could give 10 stars I would. The absolute best. I would recommend them to anyone and will in the future. Thank you so much Shannon and crew. It was just perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing.”
“Such a cool and intimate venue. Can’t believe I was 15 feet away from these legends. Parking wasn’t bad,we got there an hour early. You can park behind the venue,street side,or on the LSU campus but make sure to check their free parking hours.

“Great location downtown you can walk to several places. They also have a shuttle. The rooms are nicely appointed but very small. We lucked up on the Mardi Gras parade which was on the street in front of the hotel so you could head down to the street level or stay in your room and observe. I also loved the proximity to the river. There was a small convenience area where I purchased water and a full restaurant which I did not get a chance to visit. The hotel was pretty quiet. The front desk and housekeeping staff were very nice and attentive.”

It was quite with several couples enjoying a quite comfortable moment shared. I was familiar with the menu items and decided to take a chance on the most recognizable items. The fried rice with chicken. It was pretty tasty and good. I love the scenery of over looking the city. Will go there again probably in the spring even though I was inside.

“We just hosted a conference at the Baton Rouge Marriott and could not be happier with the service and location. Michelle, Steven, Darris, and Dedrick met all of our expectations and went above and beyond to help our event run smoothly. The food was great, every Marriott employee was professional and courteous, and the facilities were kept clean throughout the event. We will definitely be using the Baton Rouge Marriott again!”
“I was invited here from a new friend. I have never been there before. Actually, I thought it was another place! This place is awesome. This is my kind of place. The Vibe, live music, great service and lots of dancing. The vibe was olde school R n Blues
The singers were great. Infact, I talked to them about performing for my party. I would like to have my party there to! I danced, drinked, and laughed the night away. I will be back next week!!”
“The Bartenders and Waitresses were very attentive. The atmosphere is nice but not necessarily unique. The restrooms were spotless, which is usually a good sign. The food was above average but perhaps a little too Californish. That being said. I would definitely choose Lod Cook over a Hotel Ballroom for any large events. Even though nothing really stood out. It was still much better than having an event in a Hotel.”
“This is a great course with a challenging layout. The greens were a bit slow but the putts rolled pretty true. Just getting through Baton Rouge coming from Lafayette is the only downside but worth the drive!”

“Y'all I never been here but had a great time. Description entrance is beautiful, you can rent the place,she have bartenders who is very friendly and know how to mix a drink up, there is a menu you can order, the food is cooked to perfection, all you have to do is get your own DJ and pay rental. This is a black own business by a black woman, I met her. She is nice and truly about her business. The staff is young but very professional, if you are looking for a venue to have a good time at get in touch with her.”

“My girlfriend and I spent two nights at the Renaissance in Baton Rouge. We were very pleased with our accommodations. We enjoyed the firepits outside at night.
