“God damn I think I'm gonna become a regular at this place. I'm from Houston and man I miss the traditional style tacos you could find almost everywhere sold from taco trucks and meat markets. Thankfully, La Patrona does a great rendition of this taco. I got a pastor, barbacoa, tripas, and chicharron. All of them were delicious. The moment I bit in I knew I had to come back again. It reminded me right away of the tacos I would get in Texas. The chicharron even gets extra points cause it was the style that still had the meat attached - often it's just the pork skin. Just know that both of their salsas are hot!!! This place is located in the corner of the Asian Supermarket plaza inside of a grocery store. It's easy to miss so be aware!”

“Matherne’s market has the best value for money food. You can get southern style soul food/cajun food. For 11 bucks, you get a protein, two sides, a piece of bread (their corn bread is amazing) and a dessert( I just substitute it for another piece of cornbread). They have great variety in both protein and sides, but you have to be there before 12:30 for the soul food. You can also get fried food, gumbo and salad by weight and freshly made sushi is also available.The reason I am giving them 4 stars is the prices of groceries are higher, but for food it is 10/10.”
