My wife and I just experienced a great shopping experience. We decided to quit being cheap on our feet and went to Big River Footwear here in Baton Rouge. Our fit specialist Marie Guidry did an excellent job of listing to our concerns and then she did a very professional job on scanning and measuring our feet to make sure what she was going to present to us would be comfortable and fit us properly. I will probably not buy any athletic shoes anywhere else.

Cornelius helped my husband and I with shoes. I’ve been struggling finding shoes that fit and don’t make my toes go numb. Cornelius Was very knowledgeable and listened to my concerns with the shoes I’ve had. I almost went to the Nike cross the way but I’m so glad I didn’t! I will be buying from Big River again. My husband and I were very pleased.

There aren’t enough stars to rate the quality of my latest experience at Big River!! I have been a customer of this location for years going back well before its changeover from The New Balance Store and have always been impressed with the quality of service and customer care. However, I may have just had the most satisfying experience yet.
Preston Brian just used his expert product knowledge and the most professional demeanor to place me in the perfect shoe for my needs. I was not rushed nor were my wishes ignored. I was shown all my options and given the time I needed to make my decision. This is the type of service that has been a tradition for this store, not a one off occurrence. I’m glad to see that legacy of quality is continuing.
Preston Brian deserves every penny of his salary. Hey, BR….consider a raise? :)

Full service shoe store. Cornelius held the door for walking in and provided the best customer service while expertly fitting me for my new OnClouds. He measured my foot and recognized the structure of my foot before bringing out 4 pairs of shoes for me to compare. I walked out in my new shoes that Cornelius added no-tie laces to so I could just slip them on! I highly recommend Big River Footwear and Cornelius is the best!

Drake was absolutely amazing!!! I am very picky when it comes to shoes. He helped me find the perfect shoe and inserts for walking long hours as a nurse!! Super kind, intelligent, and time efficient!! 10/10 would recommend him to find your next set of shoes!!! He deserves a raise!! Good to note, he didn’t push me to buy anything or go with a certain shoe.

I went in a few days ago, leaving the Nike store and not being satisfied. This place was FANTASTIC. The young lady who serviced me was African American, and I hate that I forgot her name, but she was A WALKING BILLBOARD FOR AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE.She was so kind, very knowledgeable, and patient. They offered me water and told me about the different brands and how each one could help. She even put the shoes on for me and laced them. After I checked out, she walked me out and held the door open for me. Wonderful visit!
