I had a great first experience today at Mitchell & Co.! My co-worker came into work the other day with the cutest hairstyle and highly recommended their salon; I knew I needed to make an appointment with her stylist! The atmosphere was relaxing and so warm and friendly! A hello instantly greeted me! Molly listened and styled my hair perfectly! It was in desperate need of TLC. I was surprised that my hair was as healthy as she said! Molly was able to recommend other products to keep up my hair growth and help me maintain a solid hair routine. She was personable and knowledgeable, and I look forward to my next appointment! If I could give 10 stars I would! Wonderful first experience.

This is a bit overdue, but I wanted to express my new love and appreciation for Michell & Co, particularly the amazing Lydia Estess! I live in Los Angeles where I pay an actual FORTUNE for my blonde highlights. To add salt to that wound, I’ve been having trouble finding a blonde colorist who can get me back to the color blonde that I want in a healthy way after a ton of failed attempts and thousands of dollars.I am from Hammond and come home about twice a year for visits so I finally had the bright idea that I should find a blonde specialist in Louisiana and plan to get my two full highlights a year when I am home for a WAY more reasonable price over the crazy LA-inflated prices and then do partials in Los Angeles between these. I made a post to a popular South Louisiana FB group for women (IYKYK) asking for reccos for blonde gurus in the Baton Rouge area. In the 65 reccos that I got, SO many were for Mitchell and Co. I spent time going through IG accounts to see color and vibe of the salon and decided that this was the place for me. I was NOT disappointed! I DM’d the several of the colorists, including Lydia because I specifically loved her blondes on her IG page. She was so sweet to not only respond back immediately but to even go in early on my appointment day to fit me in since I didn’t have a lot of flexibility with only being home for a short visit. Even the salon IG account was responding back to me immediately and also a huge shout out to the front desk gal who literally called me back a week or two later after booking my appt to remind me that they were having one day only 20% off holiday deal on gift cards that I could get prior to the appt to use at the appt. THAT is stellar customer service for a new client!The moment I walked into the salon, I felt like I was with my people!! First of all, the salon was adorable and bright with great energy. It was a few days before Christmas so all of the stylists were wearing their holiday pajamas to add to the festiveness! Everyone (both stylists and clients) were SO friendly and everyone was talking and laughing together as if you are in a barber shop (I always wanted that). I had the most lovely experience and adored my blonde full highlights and a wonderful price point.Thank you all for making me feel so welcome and “home”’while I was home and thank you, Lydia, for being so friendly and talented! I cant wait to be back home in the summer and next Christmas to see Lydia again ! ?

This salon’s owner and fellow clinicians have helped my hair go from barely past my shoulders and dry and dull…to mid-back in length and healthy!! When I walked into Mitchell & Co. I was greeted with a smile. I instantly felt welcomed. Other stylists and clients were laughing/catching up while providing their services. Lydia is an absolute doll and very talented. She did an AH-MAZING on my hair and I highly recommend her services ! Her customer service is Grade A as well!I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and a few other stylists while I was there for my appointment. Can’t say enough great things about this salon & the girls who work here! I’ve been seeing Aja for years and she has completely transformed my hair to the healthiest & longest it’s ever been. The atmosphere is amazing and these girls will have you laughing the entire time. Not only do I leave loving my hair every time but I leave already wishing it was time to get my hair done again so I can come back! Aja and her team at Mitchell & co are the best! Not only do they do great work and sell great products but they are all so sweet. They know how to make everyone feel right at home. Britney does awesome brow waxing, they’re always on point. I highly recommend these girls!!

Loved getting my hair done here until my girl moved elsewhere! Don’t have the best of things to say about the rest of the team— high-school bully like atmosphere at times and convos I’ve overheard are super inappropriate for workEDIT in light of owners reply: Even if these reviews WERE solely in light of staffing changes, which they were not, it should concern the owner that previous clients are this upset over those changes. Do better and stop minimizing people’s legitimate concerns over the maturity and professionalism of you and your staff— maybe address them!!

I have been going to Aja since 2016, she is seriously the best in the business. Since opening Mitchell & Co, I have seen Brittney, Rachel, Lacey, and Kate- they are all good and amazingly talented.
