My dachshund is 13 years old and we move around a lot, so she has been to many vets. Dr. Kleinpeter and Dr. Cothron are hands down the best we have ever come across. They are very thorough and take the time to listen to your concerns about your pet and answer all your questions. They give a personalized plan of care based on your pet's specific needs and medical history. I know when my dog is with them or their staff that she is in good hands. They really do make you feel like your pet is their family also. My dog had surgery today. Alexandra and Dr. Cothron kept me updated all the way through. They calmed my nerves and listened to my panicked concerns prior to surgery when I dropped my dog off. Then they updated me right before surgery was going to start on the phone, and called me again as soon as the surgery was over to relieve my stress. I was able to meet with them again while picking my dog up to address any other concerns for discharge. I really appreciated it!! Another great thing about this vet is they don't over charge like some of the other vets in this area do. I took my dog to Perkins Road Vet hospital to get a quote on her surgery, they were going to charge OVER THREE TIMES MORE than what it cost here at Kleinpeter vet, and they were very rush rush to get it scheduled without doing a full assessment. One last thing I love about this place is how clean and bright this facility is.

Absolutely love this vet practice. Upfront I'll admit haven't entered the building myself. My mom brought my two daughters and our family female dwarf hamster (Bailey) when I was at work. Taking Bailey here when we did truly saved her life. We are new hamster owners and didn't know what was happening. She had wet tail, and Dr. Kleinpeter told us (not the kids so as not to worry/scare them) that Bailey had a 50% chance of surviving. They have her fluids at the appointment, and we were able to give her liquid antibiotics for the next week. It's been months now, and she's tripled her weight (she was essentially evacuated when we brought her in) and is fully recovered. Since then, my mom started bringing her new golden retriever puppy and could not be happier with the service provided by Dr. Kleinpeter. Her puppy will need an eye surgery at 6 months, and Dr. Kleinpeter is very knowledgeable on this eye condition and answered my mom's questions before my mom's puppy was even officially a patient. Dr. Kleinpeter truly cares and puts animals' well-being first. Recently, I had to call regarding a concern with Bailey's eye, and the advice they gave over the phone (on a Friday night) was so helpful. We didn't even need to bring her in as what they told us to do was exactly what she needed. Nice to know they have emergency availability here as well as scheduled appointments, surgeries, and boarding. They're a specialty veterinary practice that we were extremely happy to find for our little hamster. I highly recommend and will be back!

I'm not sure about the hospital services, but I will not be boarding my dog there again. When I picked her up it didn't seem like they had given her any of the toys or treats that they suggest you bring, the outdoor area even for the deluxe boarding was tiny. We paid extra for her to go to daycare, but on the weekends that isn't an option. The staff all seemed nice and capable but it felt like I was sending my puppy to prison.

The best vet around! I am proud to be part of this staff! All of the doctors really care about their patients and are willing to accommodate and work with the owners too! Will always bring my dogs here!

Please let Dr. Schroeder know how pleased I am with her care of Bijou, our 19 year old FIV calico. She is a different cat this am! I did not realize how much pain she was in. Her mouth looks great! She looks like a young cat again and has a sparkle in her eye. I'm so pleased with the way Dr. Schroeder managed her post op pain. It is allowing her to rest and recover in comfort. Thank you again!

The vets here are amazing. The techs are loving and caring. The vet helped one of my dogs through heart worms and the other through pneumonia. I would highly recommend this place. They are knowledgeable and kind. The facilities are clean and spacious.

I have been going here for over 2 years. Yesterday will be my last appointment there ever. I currently have 2 dogs. My bill for an examination blood work (which I did NOT sign approval for bc I had more questions) was $723.00!!!!! On of my dogs did not even GET annual shots. It is going to be ANOTHER $160 for his shots. I have often felt like I normally did not ever spend that much at the vet before. I came home and did some online digging. There are definitely much less expensive places than here. I am also used to the actual vet coming in and speaking with me. Each time I am there, an assistant comes in, gets my dog, and brings him out of the room for the exam. I see the vet for less than 5 minutes. I also asked for something to calm one of my dogs down during thunderstorms. No problem! They will call it in. The next day I get a call saying they CANNOT phone the prescription in because their office policy is not to give a DEA# over the phone. I happen to be a pharmacist, and we take prescriptions over the phone all day every day for controlled substances. I do not understand why they will not give a DEA # to a Doctor of Pharmacy, but they will print it and give to a patient....???? So. There are several reasons why I will not return to this office. Normally I NEVER post bad reviews, only stellar ones. This is a first for me.
