Honest review. Please do not be fooled into getting a system here. The equipment does minimal security, if something should malfunction you’re screwed. There is no over the phone trouble shooting and no after hours assistance. You call a local number that takes a message during business hours and says someone will call you back to troubleshoot. The return time on the phone call could be days and then the only technician they have is never able to fix it over the phone he has to schedule a home visit ALWAYS and the visits are not free. My wall panel touchscreen had been out for days constantly sending false tamper alarms thankfully youtube university fixed it for me. Then my cameras had not been connected to wifi for MONTHSSSSSSS finally got a call back 6 days after reporting it for the 4th time and guess what it required a visit so once again youtube university to the rescue. Im about go start paying them instead. Vivint and adt are 1000% better unfortunately i went with this company because i didn’t know i had a choice since it was a new build home but lesson learned. Vivint is already working out buying out my contract.

Do your research before using this company and find another one to go with. My SSN, including all other personal info like home address and such, was leaked to a potential customer (thankfully that person reached out to me and let me know), the manager Gary raised his voice and spoke down to me over the phone, my equipment broke numerous times (so much so I stopped asking them to come out and fix it and still have broken equipment), I was made promises about paying off my account due to my many bad experiences but the payoff never happened, the list goes on and on. I gave them 2 stars because I encountered 2 kind people within the company, out of the many I had contact with.

The La Alarm representative(Brandon)came to our house two weeks ago and had a wonderful lie to tell my wife and I. He told this long story about how La Alarms bought out the company that we were with. Alert 360. Oh it's the same company, only changes will be the monthly monitoring fee, by adding two cameras your bill will only go up from $39.99 to $66.01. Now it's $94.00 Brandon lied big time. What I want is this equipment OUT OF MY HOUSE. He sold the same lie to my daughter, strike TWO. Two customers unsatisfied. COME REMOVE YOUR EQUIPMENT ASAP.

"When I built my house, La Alarm installed most of the equipment, and I had 2 'free' years of monitoring. Two years later, I contacted them, and they are charging me thousands of dollars for equipment I already have. They only added a camera and a lock. Unfortunately, the camera does not work. I was not informed that there would be a credit card loan under our name for the “equipment” I feel like they ripped us off.The camera has been malfunctioning for months, and the technician called me once, asking me to perform troubleshooting steps, but I wasn't home, and he was supposed to call me back, which he never did. I've been repeatedly calling and leaving messages, providing them with the correct contact information, but still, there has been no response. During homecoming week, I couldn't monitor who climbed my fence and threw TP in my swimming pool. Another day I caught a couple of little kids attempting to climb my fence luckily I was home at the time. Customer service is HORRIBLE, equipment cheap and does not work.

Update: No one ever called me back, although I was the person calling and leaving messages with your 3rd party message service, all before 9:40am today. My husband did receive an answer around 10am, after I gave up and had him call...followed by a return call and a trip to our home from a kind technician.I stand by my original review, having a 3rd party message center is inconvenient for your customer base, especially when all they can do is take messages.Thanks for your response.Original:I have been with LA Alarms for two years and the alarm works fine, but their customer service is horrible. I have tried repeatedly to get someone on the phone to no avail. The alarm system works, but when something goes wrong there is no one to assist you. You have to leave messages with the monitoring company and wait for a technician to call back and that's IF they call back at all, extremely inconvenient and HORRIBLE customer service...especially when the price is THOUSANDS!I am extremely frustrated because this is not the first time this has happened!

When I first signed up for service in 2021 I was not told there will be a loan in my name to pay for the equipment and service. Fast forward 2023, I tried to upgrade my security cameras and was told an outrageous price. I declined and decided to look up the equipment they were offering and the equipment I currently have. Their mark-up is unbelievable, I currently have $300 system that I paid thousands for. I would not recommend at all!

LA alarms is the best of any home protection services I have ever used. Our favorite part is the smart phone app which we have accessed and used from all over the world. We use it to unlock and lock our smart door locks, view the doorbell camera and speak to guests, set both of our home thermostats and lastly arm or disarm our home alarm system. Customer service and technical support is amazing and I always get to talk with a real person. You won’t be disappointed in your choice to use LA alarms.

Would not recommend them they do not call back. We sold our house still getting charged. No one can answer the question they act like this is the first house ever sold . Just trying to get information on what I need to do to finalize this. The new buyers have already signed a new contract so basically they are double dipping their getting my money and the new people’s money. Service wasn’t that great anyway never could really use the alarm cameras stay clear of this company. I’ll probably be charge to the end. I’ll just keep paying it. I’m not paying a early cancellation fee on a house that I sold . Poor customer service no one ever responded back they’ll take your money fast, but they won’t answer your questions when you have them

Service:With all of the different alarm companies to choose from I feel very fortunate I ended up going with La Alarms. I was looking for an alarm company that could install some camera and alarms sensors in my home. I began looking at different companies online and asking friends for suggestions. I received many recommendations to go with La Alarms and Im very pleased I did choose La Alarm. Im not very tech savvy of a person, so I had many questions and concerns and "ALL" of those concerns were greeted with patience and thorough explanations. The techs that performed the installation were professional, friendly, and understanding. The owner of the company reached to me to ensure all my needs were being met. This meant a great deal for to get a phone call from the owner. We had to make some adjustments with the equipment that was installed and the owner figured out a solution that would meet my families needs. I would like to thank La Alarms for providing impeccable service.Equipment:My alarm system with La Alarms was installed after I built my home. The alarm system that was installed has many different options and abilities. Our alarm is a smart alarm and will ask or offer suggestions to be performed. It will do this to make sure we are using all the available options the system provides. So instead of having to read an owners manual the alarm system will periodically offer a suggestion to make sure the system is being used to maximum capabilities. The alarm also will summarize the events that took place that day. So you can watch multiple different events in a timeline. This is one of the best companies I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. The entire process was smooth and worry free! I live in California but I purchased a rental in Louisiana. Justin, the representative that reached out was family-like friendly and walked us through the entire process. When install day came, the installers were very patient with all of my questions, they were quick and thorough. They cleaned as they worked and left the job so clean it looked like the install was done during the construction. The team member that set-up the cameras made sure the entire system was working properly and that I was completely satisfied.The entire team was courteous, professional, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure things were done right. I was so impressed, I called Justin to see if they offered any services in California. The other big companies are no comparison when it comes to the customer service. Even the products LA Alarms uses are top quality. Honestly, this company just really hit the jackpot when they did their hiring. I am so glad I found them.
