This hotel room was so dirty, it had not been cleaned well. The carpet was dirty with food. The bathroom was not cleaned well. The kitchen floor was slippery because it was greasy. They don’t clean your room daily like before only every fourth night and they said it is because of COVID, excúseme, COVID is not an excuse anymore. Those times passed, hire people and clean those rooms daily unless the guests don’t want to.Rooms: Same comment as before.

The service was excellent. I really felt welcome. I really enjoyed the breakfast selection, it had a nice variety and the seating area was comfy and spacious. Our shower could have been cleaner other than that I enjoyed my time here, I did see a pool and a gym, however my family was exhausted from the other aspects of our trip, so we did not get the chance to check those two out. I would come back again if I ever was in the area

Hotel was great . Staff was wonderful. The guy that checked me in was also working a double I believe his name started with a T. Very nice man, no matter what I asked and needed he accommodated me with a nice small and made it happen.

We checked in on June 21, 2023 and pre-selected our room prior to arrival. When we arrived around 10:30 PM, after a 13 hour drive, we were given our room keys by the front desk (front desk employee was very polite) and headed to our room. Once inside the room, I noticed tools and a list of room numbers sitting on the kitchen counter top. I also noticed the lights were hanging out of the ceiling with wires exposed. The bathroom was taped off with plastic (see photos). We went to the front desk and informed them about our room. They apologized and said the maintenance man “Wayne” must have left before finishing the work in the room. We were asked to wait in the lobby until they could find us a new room. After about an hour, we were assigned room 308. I informed the front desk that 308 was in the list that I found on the kitchen counter top, but they stated it was good to go. Finally around midnight, we got into our room. The next morning around 8:00 AM, my wife had just gotten out of the shower and my 13 year old daughter was ready to get I. The shower. As she was walking into the bathroom, our door was open an an approximately 69 year old man stood in the doorway staring at my naked 13 year old daughter and wife in a towel. When I confronted him, he quickly closed the door. I met him in the hallway to ask him what he was doing, and he stated that he was the maintenance man and was given orders by the front desk to perform repairs on our room, and that 308 was supposed to be vacant.I went to the front desk and spoke to Ashley and informed her of what had happened. She got the manager, Bianca, and I explained to both of them the issue checking in and the maintenance man coming in our room and staring at my naked 13 year old daughter and my wife in her towel. Bianca apologized and said it was a mistake and that our room would be comped for the first night (check in issues) and the second day for the maintenance man waling into our room. We had paid with Hilton Honors points for the room, and they were to be reimbursed. Two months later and over a dozen phone calls to Hilton Honors and the hotel, the points have not been reimbursed. I spoke to the general manager of the property (I believe her name is Sandra) and she advised that she had to speak to Ashley and Bianca and would get back to me. I never heard back, so I called the hotel again and spoke with Sandra. She said she spoke with Bianca and Ashley, and they confirmed what had happened and Sandra said my points would be reimbursed.Since that conversation over a month ago, I still have not received my points back and the blame has been bounced around between Home2Suites and Hilton Honors. Hilton Honors explained that Home2Suites had cashed in the points and need to complete a “Service Recovery” of the points they cashed, which they have not done. I’ve placed several phone call to Sandra and left voicemails, but still have not received any returned calls. It’s crazy to me that a loyal customer would be put through all this, and management at the hotel won’t hold up there r end of the deal. My 13 year old daughter was traumatized by a grown man staring at her naked because of a mistake made by Home2Suites.This has been the most upsetting and disappointing issue I’ve ever had with a hotel.Safety: The hotel betrayed our trust and sense of security and privacy in our room.

As soon as you entered you could tell they did a terrible job keeping the place clean. Sticky floors, dirty carpet, the elevators were probably cleaned last year or by a 3yr old with a kitchen rag. Our room had what we hope was facial hair in the bathroom sink. The toilet or toilet seat were not wiped from the last maybe 3 guest. The shower had hair and soap residue, our bed did not have a blanket, our carpet was not vacuumed, our bed smelled like feet, and we had to keep track of the pool towels . The utensils were maybe just rinsed and the waffle batter had no taste. The windows hadn’t been cleaned in the lobby or the front door. Maybe a few other things but can’t remember it all now.Place was just over priced for what we had. The hotel is in a good location when it comes to food options but that is about it.

AWFUL. My husband has to stay in this hotel for work. This establishment and the employees are awful. You can’t get your room card to work correctly, and can’t get your room cleaned, so everything is dirty as you enter. Forget about actually getting anyone to clean it as they are too busy playing on their phones and talking to one another. Bianca at the front desk was VERY rude. When I told her that my husband asked for a clean comforter and sheets the day before and was told that his room would be clean and the comforter and sheets will be on the bed and NONE of it was done she said “okay, well he could’ve came down here and got all of it himself I’ve been here all day”. Very unprofessional. You offered no help whatsoever and had the worst attitude. I hope they find new management. Absolutely awful stay.

The first room we were issued had stains on the carpet and on a broken chair. We then asked if we could have a different room, the front desk clerk was a bit adamant in giving us a new room until I showed her the photos of what we found in the room. We were moved to a different room, however it still seemed a bit dirty. As far as the location, it was nicely hidden behind a few businesses.Side note: We went to the circle k 2 min down the street to pick up some waters, and there were junkies outside shooting up drugs. .____. this made the area/location 1 star.

We were visiting Baton Rouge with our family and booked an accessible room with two queen beds. Check in was done online and upon arrival, I realized the room I was assigned had a king sized bed and was non-accessible. I immediately went to the front desk and let them know there was a mix up. Front desk person told me they were over booked and that’s all they had. When I informed them this wasn’t going to work, I was basically told there were no other options. I was offered zero alternatives. I’d be wary booking this hotel if you are needing a room with accommodations. I made 3 total phone calls to hilton’s customer service line. Got disconnected twice and the automated recording says to go online to chat with a representative. I go online and chat with a rep and told I needed to call the corporate number. Corporate tells me that I needed to call the hotel itself. Talk to front desk (again) and finally request that we be transferred to the home2 suites in Gonzales as they had the room type we needed. Then, I was told that I would need to go online and re-book. I was informed that nothing could be “transferred” because I booked our room with points (gold member) and those points were now assigned to this hotel and there’s nothing they could do since I had checked in. (Mind you, I checked in online not knowing the room type I booked would not be available) Essentially, we were stuck in the king room for the night unless we wanted to come out of pocket for another room elsewhere. I was promised to be placed on a waiting list for 2 queens and would be contacted when one came available on Sunday and was told the manager would get in touch with me. Guess what? I was never notified of an available room nor did anyone ever contact me the duration of our 3 night stay. The customer service from this hotel and the Hilton company is non-existent. I requested a late check out today and was told 12pm was the latest possible check out. Part of being a gold member gets you a water and snack daily. Front desk told my husband they have ‘no idea’ about that. I could go on and on about how awful this has been. I have a week long stay starting Saturday at another Hilton property and I think I’m going to cancel after this experience.

My husband and I felt very comfortable during our 4-day-stay. It is a clean and service friendly hotel. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Despite the fact that we did not have much time to use, I do like the outdoor swimming pool. I also like the variety of food at the breakfast buffet.Nearby activities: The hotel is located on a type of hotel+ restaurant complex area. There are also some chances of shopping nearby the hotel area.

Best hotel we've stayed in on our cross-country road trip. Clean inside and out. We used the laundry facilities, which were also clean and reasonably priced. Great location near restaurants and shopping yet quiet with some privacy. I felt very safe walking my small pup at night. Ebony at the front desk was a breath of fresh air. She took very good care in making sure we had everything we needed. All staff were friendly and helpful.

This is a new Home2 Suites and was very nicely appointed. Although right off I-10, it’s silent. I don’t have a single complaint, and can highly recommend this hotel to business and leisure travelers alike. Close to restaurants and shopping there is a Whole Foods nearby as well.

They used barn doors for the bathrooms. They do not lock. They have about an inch gap around the edge. Awful. Nice breakfast, helpful staff, pool looked nice, but I would never ever ever stay here again because THEY USED BARN DOORS ON THE BATHROOM.
