Housekeeping only every 2 days- no matter how long your stay. You can request housekeeping but not required to clean! Their words not mine. I found this out the hard way when we returned to our room after a full day out. The pool was disgusting. We were not told the pool was closed, and there are no signs posted that it was out of service. So imagine our surprise when we changed into our swim wear only to go outside and see a pool with stagnant green looking water with lots of debris and film on surface! Desk clerk said 'the pool has been like that since the storm 2 weeks ago'... Good location, but not worth the price as it doesn't live up to what most people would expect from a Hilton hotel
Nearby activities: Very close to airport. Not too far from Southern and LSU

It served the purpose, but there are no safes in the rooms.
Rooms: The rooms were clean, but they do not have safes in the rooms.

Diamond members beware of this location. They made a clear error on my billing and refused to fix it. I called several times and sent several emails but still no resolution. This was the worst experience in my 16 years of business travel. Litigation may be next, they must be held accountable.

When we checked into our room on Sunday- there were clear signs the room had not been fully refreshed.
The beds were made - but we did not have towels or a new roll of tissue paper. Housekeeping was already gone.
Signage says cleaning is every other day - On Tuesday I inquired about someone cleaning and the front desk advised that we have to request cleaning services. The phone in our room was not working even if wanted the convenience of calling down.
She said the cleaning personnel would need to be on the floor - I advised that they still were...
We returned and our room still was not cleaned.
The gentleman on the evening shift was very helpful in providing us with clean towels and tissue - very pleasant unlike the young lady who was on shift before him.
The young lady I interacted with yesterday, was also there this morning. I requested around 8am for our room room to be cleaned - we returned after 3pm and our room still was not cleaned.
This is not like any experience from Hilton that we have encountered and projects the company in a negative light. This was a heavy week for students moving in so high visibility-I am very disappointed and will stick to Marriott and give business to the one across the street before I stay or recommend this location to anyone.

Booked for one night. Hallways smells of mildew and must. Even the pool water had a strange odor. Phone was broken. Fridge did not cool. Light fixtures were broken. Checked in and was told room was ready. Upon entry of the room it was a sweltering 86 degrees ac was not even on. I’m not sure if that’s how you ready a room a gust but whatever. Not to mention the obvious mold on the walls surrounding outlets a receptacles. This is an no go for me. Automatic one star. Also breakfast was NOT included in the stay. For what I paid for one night that’s absolutely ridiculous. Won’t be staying at this location again. It’s definitely a location issue and not a Hilton issue. I’ve stayed Hilton before and had a wonderful time

The blinds would not move, they were broken. The thermostat was falling off the wall. The phone was unplugged so I could not call the front desk to report/ask for service. No smoking indoors right? Not! horrible smell of smoke. Shower tub pealing. door needed to be forced to close. Just stay at one of the other in the area if you need to. This was really awful I typically stay at Marriott as I travel for business but I figured what the heck lets try a Hilton. No more again, it will be my last choice, cheap middle of know where hotels are much nicer.

I had a horrible day experience here. I arrived after 4pm, there wasn’t a room ready for me although I booked weeks in advance. The first room was dirty, the second room had mold on the furniture and the last room had stains on the sofa. You literally had to kick the door for all 3 rooms to get in. There wasn’t another room they could move me to because they were booked as all the other hotels in the area. The air conditioner wasn’t working in the lobby so they had portable ac’s all around. The lobby furniture needs replacing as well. The room definitely wasn’t worth $170. Oh and there was only one working elevator. And don’t mention the smell.
They definitely need to demolish this hotel and build a new one.
Not a good look for the Hilton.
Rooms: Don’t book here. Just look at the pictures.

The hotel is clean, even with a lot of guests at the property. The only thing is that the air inside the hallways felt a little humid/moist, but that may have been because of the weather, not the hotel itself. The lighting in the room wasn't the greatest, but it was decent. There are several restaurants nearby. It is about a 5 minute drive to everything at the airport (rental car pickup/return, departures, arrivals).

If you’re searching for a well-priced, clean, and quiet hotel whose staff has great customer service near the Baton Rouge airport, I recommend you choose this Hilton Garden Inn location!
My friend and I stayed at this Hilton location for two nights, and though we ran into a couple of problems, the staff handled them in a timely manner and offered acceptable solutions or agreed to the solutions we proposed. Our room was clean we when arrived and the rest of the hotel was generally clean as well.
One problem we experienced was the toilet in our room suddenly would not flush. Maintenance came to our room and fixed the toilet issue; however, later that same day, the toilet would not flush again so the staff assigned us a new room. In that new room, there was one roach that appeared… and we promptly put it to permanent rest.
At our checkout time, we expressed our experience to the lovely manager on duty — Megan — and she actively listened to our situation, empathized with us, apologized because that is not the experience they want to give their guests, and ultimately gave us the discount we requested. Shout out Megan! She’s the real customer service MVP!
Other staff shoutouts include Rainey and Lenaya at the front desk. They were both friendly, made us feel welcome, and quickly solved our problems or answered our questions accurately with smiles on their faces! Y’all rock!
Rooms: Positives - Beds were quite comfortable with a variety of pillows included. The A/C was working perfectly and kept us cool during our sleep. The room was clean and well-stocked upon arrival.
Not so positives - Some room doors were difficult to close/open. I can’t say the rooms were spotless — one of them had leftover food in the mini fridge and there was a bit of dirt in the corner of one shower. Just a bit more attention to detail during cleaning would bring this place to the next level!
Safety: I never felt unsafe for a second at this location.
Noteworthy details: The manager Megan had an outstanding attitude and great customer service!

I came in around 1:30 and it took 20 minutes for an employee to even appear and when I did see him he made no effort to assist me or apologize for his absence. I was literally just left to call out and hope someone heard me. Refused to provide me with the information to speak with a manager or corporate. He refused to provide his names and had a horrible attitude.
Safety: Not a safe place as it is left unattended through the night.

We've stayed here twice of the 5 times we visited the area. This was the best place to stay so far. The front desk staff was nice and the rooms are the best in the area. The only reason I only gave it 4 stars is because during our most recent stay here, we needed another set of towels but they weren't ready. 4 1/2 is a better fit, but we cant give 1/2. I still recommend this location, especially if you need to stay close to the school like we did. It really is a nice place.
