Animal Health Clinic has been such a blessing! I adopted a senior dog two years ago who was very overweight and had a plethora of other issues that accompanied his extra pounds. Dr. Leonards and all of the techs were always patient with answering my questions. My old man did succumb to kidney failure, but the staff was so sweet through the entire process. Since his passing, I got a new dog & taking her to AHC was a no-brainer! The entire staff greets her so excitedly anytime we walk in and they are always ready to help us! There is no better vet in Baton Rouge!

We brought our lab in for a routine check up for his first visit here. Everything was fine until they came to take him from us for the visit. Not only were we not allowed to meet the vet during the visit, as we had tons of questions we had written down to ask them, they also asked me to muzzle our baby before they took him. So basically after waiting a month for the appointment we had to leave without being seen. Very disappointed with their setup and also with their lack of compassion.

I'm from Ohio quarantined here for the last 30 days in a foreign place during a trying time where people are afraid of each other, so when I had an emergency for my furson I panicked and when everyone turned away I found this prior yelp review that spoke of the staff here and I called. They answered right away and allowed me to drive straight there...I will not include specifics, but as a special needs person with medical alert service dog who is in crisis in a crisis these were truly "our guardian angels!" If it seems like I'm exaggerating or laying it on thick believe me I am not these wonder women and Dr. Leonard's have a compassion and care and connection I have never felt and they saved our lives yesterday, even at the possible expense of their own. You cannot put a price on these hearts...I am forever indebted and greatful! Dr. Leonard's is beyond an angel on earth words can never describe what he did for us, but I hope these few can touch the next life so he can save it!

This was my first time going here and the staff was very nice and welcoming. I have a very friendly Australian Shepard lab puppy and I loved how they comforted him while he was getting his shot. The prices were the most reasonable I could find, they gave good advice, and I would 10/10 recommend.

I have to update my review to include Dr Hackett. He is wonderful!! I feel like he genuinely cares for my dog and is invested in her health and well being. Right down to having you call him to let him know how things are going on new meds, etc. between appointments. He's done this twice for my Bailey. It means the world to me to have a Vet who shows this much true concern for my animal. The entire staff is caring and kind. I couldn't ask for better service and commitment than I've found at this clinic. I would recommended them to everyone.

This is the 3rd veterinary clinic I have visited in Baton Rouge and it is by far my favorite! This clinic didn't try to give my dogs a bunch of shots at one time and try to see how much money they could get out of me. Instead, their prices were very reasonable and they were straightforward about their pricing and didn't suggest anything unnecessary. The staff were very caring and friendly. Dr. Leonards was very honest and thorough. He patiently listened to my concerns and answered any questions. They were all so gentle and kind to my babies. You can tell they genuinely care about animals. I highly recommend AHC.

I grew up the daughter of a vet so I have a somewhat higher standard of expectations when it comes to my animals care. I love Dr. Leonard and the attention he pays to me, my questions, and my cat. The entire staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. This is the only place I will be bringing my animals.

They got me an appointment the next day and everyone was very friendly and sweet to both me and my kitten. The office and lobby area both very clean and inviting.

I loved this clinic! My cats were seen for a medication refill and exam. Everyone here is super friendly. Our vet did a full exam on both cats and gave great advice on weight loss and teeth cleaning for my fat boys. I was also impressed by how efficient they are. We were in and out in 30 minutes! The costs were extremely reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend!!

Dr. Hackett gave my schnauzer the most thorough examination that I had ever seen since her birth. She is now six years old and has seen multiple vets! The clinic is a little bit out of the way for me from where I live BUT it is well worth the drive. The staff was very friendly and treated my dogs very well. They all seemed to enjoy the work they do at the Animal Health Clinic...I am very thankful for that because I love my dogs! My pets were at ease there.

Where to begin? Dr. Hackett and his team are wonderful. My husband and I have four rescues. I couldn't ask for a better place to take my animals. The staff treats my dogs and my husband and I like family. We have never felt rushed, they take the time to put my dogs at ease while treating each one. They have always tried to accommodate us and are very thorough in explaining any issues our dogs may have. Dr. Hackett and his staff are very good about following up and keeping us abreast of our animals condition whenever we have had to leave them in their care. We have also brought in strays that we have picked up and Dr. Hackett has always cut us a deal on their treatment. Very kind compassionate Vet. I can't say enough positive things about the Animal Health Clinic. Thank you so much.

The best vets in Baton Rouge. I bring all of my dogs here. They treat them like family, and show real concern.
