I inherited a large family coin collection that needed to be liquidated. Thad at Gold and Silver of LA was a pleasure to work with. He examined my coins closely for grade, any scarce dates, as well as any varieties that might add value. I had done enough homework that I’m confident he gave me very fair offers. Would definitely recommend.

Recently came into an inheritance and was looking to sell some silver. Having been a customer here before I decided to see what the competition would offer just to compare. Upon arriving to the “nameless” Sherwood Forest store other store. I was greeted by the owner. I explained what I had and value in coins and quoted the current market price to which he abruptly cut me off responding “$1 a coin”When asked if this was standard his response..”I don’t know what other people do’I then proceeded to call Gold & Silver of LA and Spoke with Kellen who quickly quoted me the accurate market price and amount to be paid to which was $1.83 a coin. You do the math.I walked in the door and was quickly out cash in hand thanks to Juliet and Kellen. I will ONLY utilize Gold & Silver of La in the future.

Absolutely no help, wouldn’t even get out the chair to look or even attempt to look. Not the customer service we have heard of this place, heard how they’re so nice and will actually take some time to look at your coins. Was rude and basically said no coins are worth anything these days and isn’t worth it.He was lazy and rude..saying oh I can’t even tell if it’s an error or something else , didn’t even try to figure anything out. Kindness goes a long way. Utterly disappointed. Idk who y’all got to deal with but we sure in the hell didn’t get one of those good workers lol.

Brought in an old ring to get it cleaned/discuss restorative options. I was greeted by the kindest staff and helped by two young men who were extremely helpful. They gave me all my options and the prices were reasonable. They also had a great selection of jewelry. I will definitely be coming back here for the service and to purchase some of the beautiful jewelry they have!

I took several pieces of old family jewelry here, and they did an absolutely tremendous job at polishing it up. Not to mention the customer service was stellar. The young men that helped me were very knowledgeable and welcoming. I can not recommend this establishment enough, they can address any needs or questions you may have.

I was referred here buy an acquaintance, he claimed excellent service, after I finally got there two hour drive, this kid up front did not want to deal with me, he only offered to buy two of my coins one being rated by pcgs, but only as scrap/ melt down price, which would have been a whopping 10 cents for both, I refused kindly, I then asked if they did foreign currency exchange there, he replied yes, I pulled out some foreign currency, and without even looking at it, re said oh no, not for you, that felt great, so, I left without making a scene, I also brought my Indian head pennies, one of them being an 1877, 1880, 1904, 1905, 1906, he refused to even look at them, I did tell him the dates, it did not matter, anything i had was taboo to him, It would be nice to have at least somewhat decent customer service, not these days, all there are in retail places are spoiled rotten snot nosed little brats, is there no standard anymore?

I recently had the folks at G&S refit and polished/cleaned my families generational wedding ring. They did a Great job! And the staff were very professional and courteous throughout the process... I will be seeing them again!
