Good food, if a bit pricey. Had to put up a toe as collateral for some Evangeline Maid bread. Costly, but at least I got that bread.

They have a good variety of items. I especially like their prepared meals. Chicken salad is the best. Sushi selection is wonderful.

We live in Lafayette, but were turned on to the Chicken Salad at Calvin’s. When we pass through BR, we’ll usually stop in for several containers. It’s VERY good!

I've visited the store three times and I've noticed each time I've gone there the black employees are constantly watched especially the cashiers it's ridiculous. The last time I was there a older caucasian woman stood directly behind the young cashier watching every dime she counted out to me ...NOT GIVING CALVIN'S ANYMORE OF MY BUSINESS

What a warm feeling you get when you enter their doors. Family run businesses are the best! Found pasta that I've never seen before. Their meat dept has beautiful cuts of meat. And we'll the chicken salad is like no other! All the best to this grocery. Wished I lived closer.

On Sunday around 12:30, I shopped for my favorite specilty items and wine. The store manager assisted in finding me a specific wine. And upon check-out, the third check out was opened up so no one would have to wait? And, an employee assisted me with bringing my groceries to the car!

I have patronized Calvin's for the last ten years because I love the chicken salad and convenience of their location. I refuse to spend any more of my money at this establishment. I went to Calvin's on Saturday, April 29 to purchase groceries and a bottle of wine. There was a caucasian gentleman at a register buying beer and the cashier did not ask him for his ID. The older caucasian gentleman who always greets everyone when they come in the store, asked me for my ID before the cashier rang up the wine I was purchasing. I'm 50 years old, I don't look 18. I asked the cashier if they always check everybody's ID who purchase liquor and she said yes. Obviously they don't. They only card people of color. This is blatant racism and there is a racial divide at Calvin's. It's really disappointing and sad that we still live in a world, in 2023 and people still have racist mindsets. I have experienced this several times at Calvin's and I refuse to shop there ever again.Calvin's deserves zero stars.

It was great! It's the 1st time I've been in there. Everyone was so polite and greeting me. The meat, veggies and fruit selections were great!! Also lots of good things from the Deli!!

The cashier Tyler was very rude to me and the manager seem to not care.Unfortunately, I had to experience a RACIST situation today.I feelso bad for letting them hurt my feelings .They deserve 0 stars.
