We just started a 5 day stay here and I must say that first impressions are great. It really upsets me to think of the number of times we've been in Baton Rouge and stayed in nearby places that were more expensive and not as nice.We chose the king suite room because of some reviews and we're thrilled at the size of the suite and the cleanliness. This is an older hotel but is in the very best condition. Lobby and breakfast are impressive. There's a lot of highway noise but absolutely none in our room.If things change during our stay I'll update this post but I don't expect any problems. I can't imagine where any bad reviews come from.Follow -up Review:My husband and I stayed at this hotel again a year or so later and we had a very poor experience. We were in a different section of the hotel for the second stay and it was nothing like the first. The room this time was a standard double room. It didn't seem clean and there was noise in the hall that was bothersome. The walls and doors did not block routine conversations outside the room. It really seemed like a second rate hotel. We go to Baton Rouge every year but we have never stayed here again. The location is great and maybe the king suites are the way to go but we've never given them another chance.

Booked a last minute room for a quick trip. When we arrived, the concierge, Rose, was wonderful and welcoming.Hallway smelled clean upon arrival and the room was clean as well. Great setup for the room; small kitchen, small living room area, large bathroom with double sinks, standing shower & jacuzzi tub.Great overall accommodations with excellent reception and service.

One of my ole college roommate was in town overnight after a meeting and I met her here at her room. It was clean, had everything she forgot at home. Outdoor looked really nice. She called from the airport the next morning and she raved over the Free Breakfast and the availability of options. She said she ate a great breakfast and had juice and coffee and time before the Uber arrived. I think people tend to forget the value of a breakfast when comparing motel rates. Think about what you spend on Waffle House or Dennys? It’s worth paying for safer places

This was A very nice hotel. The rooms were clean and very modern. They include a very nice variety of breakfast. The workers were okay. They have a very clean pool and a volleyball and basketball court.

When I booked my room the amenities listed a hot tub/jacuzzi tub in the room. This was not true. Upon entering the room there was an awful mildew/mold odor. The furniture was stained, the side of the refrigerator was rusted and dirty, the carpet in the closet was fraying in 2 spots, the carpet throughout the room felt damp, there was a large ball of hair in the floor (not mine), there was a strange reddish spot on the sheets and the ice machine in the fridge did not work; there was no alternative ice machine. The dishwasher was full of dishes. Front staff was polite and "buffet" breakfast was adequate. Will not be returning.

This hotel refuses to fix a water leak that I have been complaining about for 2 months. Notified staff, general manager, and urgent care about this situation about mould (growth) on the carpet by the air conditioner by the sliding door. I HAD TO USE MY DISABLED DAUGHTERS PADS TO SOAK THE WATER UP. The general manager lied to me and my wife's face swearing he was going to clean and fix this problem. My wife has been put on medication. THIS Is FAR FROM OVER!

if i could give it less the 1 star I would where do I start first I used 6000 points to get a better rate first mistake thought it was a nice hotel. Second we arrived and they gave us room number 145 they told us there would be luggage carts at the front of the building there was not. There is also an issue with access once we got a cart we still had to unload from the car as there are steps down every entrance so was unable to load the cart by the car. once in the room the damp smell hit us immediately we tried to open a window no good so we sprayed with Lysol and put the fan on in the bathroom this helped a little but still smells bad. we decided to go to the front desk to ask for a different room the person there a male was not very helpful but did change the room to another part of the hotel so we thought wed check it out first then see. I also asked if we got more towels as the was only 2 bath towels nothing else in our room he said this was normal I have stayed in many hotels cheap and expensive they all had full sets of towels. When we went to the smoking room they had a full set of towels in there so he was lying so we took them from that room back to our damp room plesae do not stay in this hotel without reading this review Well this room was even worse it was full of cigarette smoke.

From the outside, the place looks nice, but the inside is horrible. Rooms smelled of dampness, bad internet access. The staff thought 2 bath towels was standard, noooooo wash cloth & hand towel is standard. Asked for more towels and they said they had none. Small tv, lots of attitude from the the front staff. Was told there was a baggage trolly, didn't find one, found a staff member who got one for us, but it had a bad wheel and was hard to push. Entry to room areas is a step up so a trolly is of little use, you have to haul everything from your car to the trolly. We asked for another room and they gave us one that smelled of smoke...not good for a 'non-smoking hotel'. This used to be a best western plus hotel but now it's decayed. Bathroom has one tiny ( and I mean tiny) bar of soap with a combo shampoo/conditioner squeeze tube. THIS PLACE REEKS OF CHEAP AND POOR MAINTENANCE. DID I MENTION THE DIRTY CARPETS? We will never stay here again and will stick to Best Western for the rest of our trip.

We paid for 2 double beds but when we got to the room, it was a king, which would’ve been fine, except there were 3 of us and they didn’t have a rollaway. They said most of their rooms don’t have 2 beds, even though the website said that’s what we were getting. They neglected to tell us about the change when we were checking in. The AC in the hallway was broken, so it was 85 degrees and VERY stuffy. A few of the outlets in the room didn’t work. No smoke detector, only wires hanging out of the ceiling. Lights didn’t work. The bed was comfy, but that was about it.

The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Lobby, Landscaping and pool is very nice!! The room can be updated. carpets in a pet friendly room is never a good idea. Room reeked of air freshener, no good for allergies or anyone with asthma or copd, etc… I left the door open to help lessen the smell that gave me a headache, it was like formaldehyde… I could smell and taste it long after I left the room. The door to the room was difficult to open from the inside, it took 5-7 tries each time. The bed is comfy, double sinks in the bathroom, spacious room with a loveseat, fridge & microwave. Not quite what I expected in comparison to their advertising.

Rooms/kitchens are super old. TVs are fairly old too. Rooms smelled a bit and one had a leaking AC, soaked floor. It was sketchy but not filthy. Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was mediocre but free…

This hotel located on Energy drive in Baton Rouge was not even a 1 star. It was a two story hotel with no elevators and only luggage carts for the bottom floor. The hallways was stuffy and smells of smoke. At the end of each hallway there was a trash can over loaded with trash falling all on the floors. The rooms was stuffy there wasn't one housekeeper in the entire hotel. No towels at all especially washcloths... thank goodness I had my own.... other customers were complaining abt the same thing with the towels at the check-in desk. The pictures on the website looks nothing like the hotel in person once you get inside.... and for the way the MOTEL looks and smell along with the amenities it is not worth the asking price for a one night stay. You'll get better service at a motel 6 or a Super 8 save your money and go someplace else.... All in all the only good thing about the hotel was the check in personel; they were great for what it was anyway.

No security locks in hall’s. 2air conditioners that shut off at night. The worst place I have ever stayed. No even close to pictures on web site. any a piece of kitchen ware, totally disgusting.Had to give 1 circle
