Adt installed a faulting CO monitor in our house a year ago. The technician said it was the only one he had, but \\\"someone will be out to replace it in about a week, but I will put it on 'bypass' until then.\\\" We are 14 months and dozens of calls to ADT later, and still no working monitor. They sure do remember to charge our credit card every month though! Every time I call support, I talk to someone who assures me they won't place me on forever hold this time, they transfer me to someone else, who then transfers me to a third person who is supposedly is going to schedule an install. They take my information, and say they are placing me on a \\\"brief hold\\\" that lasts at least an hour every time. The longest I've sat on the \\\"brief hold\\\" is 2 hours, but they've never picked up again. I really want them to come uninstall the system at that point, but that would require speaking to a person.

If you are a renter, do NOT sign a contract with ADT. There is a cancellation fee if you want to cancel the contract early for whatever reason (mine was over $200) that they don't inform you of up front, but hide in the small print of the contract. I have been given the run-around and have not once been able to speak to a manager despite repeated requests. I have spent hours on the phone on hold and speaking with people who repeatedly transfer me. This is a scam and will almost certainly be in violation of the FTC's new "click to cancel" rule.

called adt we were moving ADT set up a mobile plan tricking us into two plans and still billed for first plan highly do not recommend ADT they are the real crooks when called to fix the two plans we were transferred to departments for over 3 hours horrible customer service

I am a new homeowner in Livingston Parish. It's been a long time coming after Hurricane Ida destroyed the home I hoped to purchase last year. I feel very safe in my new home. I've been doing a lot of organizing and putting away boxes, etc. An ADT salesman (at least he had a badge) drove all the way up my driveway, walked up under my carport uninvited on Saturday at dusk. "M'am" "M'am" he called around the corner, I was polite enough to shake his hand although I felt very put off and violated. As he made himself at home leaning against my piling he started shooting the breeze and tried to ask me all kind of imposing questions that were not appreciated, "you came up in a database of new owners blah blah, YOU are the owner? (shocked)..." I told him thank you but I don't need a security system, and if you don't mind I have many things I'm working on," To be honest I might have considered it had it been another more courteous person, not coming on to my property - a security person no less! There is no way I'd let this person set up or have any codes/cameras on me, let me say that for sure. Had he not been so assuming and thinking he can just run up on me this way, slow driving too past my driveway! He then proceeded to be rude implying "some people like to chat" and "I can see you are a nice person" (sarcastic). ADT: you need a way to complain about these things by phone to a manager. As it stands now I'll have to leave this review here for all to see. I'm not asking for anything bad to happen to this rude imposing man, as I understand it is legal to solicit in our parish/state. Obviously he knows no better. I do think he needs some ten-step anti-harassment training for how not to be threatening and lose your company customers. Now the only thing that makes me feel less safe here is ADT salesmen slow driving by my house and then creeping up on me. I think you owe me a few hundred dollars for the panel gate now I have to get so people like this don't think they can not take no for an answer and then insult people was they are doing work at their homes at night.

I have had nothing but trouble since getting their service installed in my house. First when I got their services they supposedly checked and told me my house could easily handle to outdoor cams (lie - they freeze up constantly because I do not have optic fiber WiFi). Second I am locked in a 3 year contract (was not told this upon receiving services and was not provided with a contract). Within my first 2 years of service they attempted to increase my bill and I refused to pay the additional increase so now my cameras no longer record but I’m still locked into my contract for another year. This company is a TOTAL RIPOFF!

This honestly is the worst company I’ve interacted with and they have the worst customer service. Do not use this company! And if you have a contract ending soon, I recommend not renewing.

I'm a military veteran that has just bought his first home. My home was burglarized right before getting my system installed so I've been scared about living without protection. So when it comes to ADT having the "unhackable system/cameras" it's nice to know that my camera has been going blank with missing time slots multiple times since my home was secured by them. Each time I call in it's a different type of answering AI that will start trying to redirect my call or someone who stumbles on ANY AND ALL questions asked about why "we've never been hacked before." So don't bother with americas #1 sell outs. NOT VETERAN FRIENDLY AT ALL.

We have had ADT for at least 8 years. Security systems such as ADT or even self managed systems like Simply Safe all have issues. We had Hurricane IDA in September. We have multiple cameras, sensors and issues with batteries or bad connections due to constant usage of our doors. Very seldom do I need help from a technician but when I do, ADT comes to the call. I spoke with Kenny today. He was very kind and patient. He tried to help me with my issue (garage door sensor) but to no avail. He made a priority appointment for me to have a tech come out and fix my problem. I ADT! If you have ADT as your primary security...good choice. We have tried others, years ago. But when ADT offered us a security plan that monitors every corner of our home and property, they became like family. We did purchase a service plan and whoever any equipment breaks,they replace it free! I highly recommend ADT's Security system and the people who make it work, no matter what!

This is by far the worst security company in the world. I would not recommend anyone do business with them. I had horrible customer service from the installer after he came out to my home and setup my services my equipment started falling off the wall. On top of that he did not leave all the equipment he was suppose to. The sales rep quoted me a different price from what the installer tried charging me and to top it off they charged my account 4 times after i had cancelled the services one charge being $600.00. This is just horrible service. I'm glad I chose not to continue services with them just Horrible and you can never talk to anyone it takes ages to get someone on the line. They have 0 star rating

I called ahead because we were getting windows replaced in our home. (In fact I called several times to make sure.). I was told 3x to just make sure I kept the sensors from the old windows. I did. When ADT came out I had to pay to get new sensors a d forced an upgrade charge on me. Tech support on the phone is ridiculous. Now, an IR on one of my cameras went out, over 4 weeks ago, and again they are saying the new cameras are not compatible with the version software I have and they don't make my style camera anymore. I keep losing connectivity with the entire system but of course, if I want to upgrade and pay more upfront again and more monthly they can make it work. Choose another alarm company.

ADT is a very good and dependable home security company. Their technicians are professional and competent.
