Convenient.Low prices,courteous staff,friendly.Have been an Exchange Customer for over 63 years total.Have been shopping at Barksdale since being stationed here in 1970. We would and do recommend to our family and friends that are authorized to use it Ret. Msgt. Charlie and Judy East.

Unhelpful and unavailable staff. Had to spend 15 extra minutes to go back outside and get my ID, then get back in line to checkout. I just want to give them my money, but they make it very difficult. I remember why I avoid this place.

The Exchange has gone from taking care of ALL service members to cayering to the higher ranked Officers and NCOs. At one time, an E3 or E4 could go to the BX and afford to get household goods and even furniture. Now, the prices of the items offered is so high that most Junior Officers and Enlisted more easily furnish their homes and take care of their families thrpugh Walmart, Conn's ans in many cases "Rent-2-Own" places.Commisary is just as bad.Quality has dropped, service almost non-existant.I see 4 or 5 peoe standing around the Electronics Counter UNTIL I walk up with a question. Then they scatter. Their knowledge of their departments is minimal with 1 or 2 MAYBE having a clue.

It's the employees that hurt the shopping experience. No matter the time of day or year, it will take you around 25-30 minutes to check out, even if there is no line; the employees are that slow and poorly trained. Many other stores nearby with much better service and selection.
