If I could 0 stars I would. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS U-HAUL CENTER!! Especially if you want your deposit back. DO NOT BID OR BUY UNITS FROM THEM! They will try to withhold your deposit over things that aren't YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. As a bidder your RESPONSIBILITY is cleaning the storage units and removing everything out of them. Nothing else. THEY ALSO DO NOT GIVE accurate pictures of the storage units.. IF YOU CAN NOT SEE FROM CORNER TO CORNER , DO NOT BID OR BUY IT .. THEY ARE A SCAM. You will think you bought a unit with very few things in it.. until you open it and your confused because it doesn't look like the pictures online.. They know how to angle the camera right for sure..

Charging a dollar a mile is ridiculous, plus renting the for $85 u-haul, and putting gas back in, now yall are taking advantage of the customer.

Had no problems with the reservation or check-out/check-in processes. Rented trucks and van for several days and staff were very patient and understanding when we needed an extension.

I want to say thanks to the U-Haul company where my coach was blocking half of their entrance way to their business Nobody ran out and said you got to move it in a hurry I even walked in and while I was in the store a good Samaritan stopped and helped me drag my coach out of harm's way

TRound-trip it took it 40 miles of driving and 56 minutes according to MapQuest. I requested compensation from the local U-Haul facility. They decided that they only wanted to compensate me $20 saying that there was more than enough to cover her gas. They had no desire to cover her compensation for the time that she spent. In reality I was left without a means of getting back to my truck if it wasn't for my ex-wife I would've been stuck there. She ended the conversation being sarcastic and condescending. I have never ever had someone talk to me like that before.

Made a reservation for a trailer on a day off of work, got an order confirmation, and when I arrived to pick it up... No trailer available, and their solution was to drive an hour away to pick another one up. Not sure where in the process the ball was dropped, but this little maneuver set my move back two weeks.

Never answer the phone. Always get a national customer service center and no one at the Alexandria store ever returns your call. If not for the poor customer service they would have gotten a four.

I went there to rent a van. There was 4 people behind the counter and only 1 of them was helping customers. That is horrible customer service. But of course they didn't have what I needed.

Went in to obtain a storage bought the storage was told office would close at 5 and I needed a special lock. Went bought the lock and a few of my things and was back maybe 3:20. I unpacked all my things loaded them on the cart and proceed upstairs to my storage. I get to the storage and there is a lock already on it. I was already tired and hot from packing unpacking and walking upstairs to the storage. I made several attempts to call the front off both my personal phones and the call button for someone to answer no one ever did. After five minutes of calling I gave up left my items unattended and walked to the front hoping if I left my car no one would take my things. No employee is to be found I walk back to my car push my stuff on the cart to the door said forget it walked back to the front for a refund and explained the situation. They were okay with giving me a refund but I needed my debit card I walked back to my car packed all of my things drove to the front and was finally given a refund. I hated my experience. If someone buys a storage it’s UHauls place to make sure everything is ready for that person who’s spending money especially if they have to walk up a flight of stairs
