I went into Ray's to pick up a prescription for my husband. I signed a receipt that was for one amount and the cashier as well verbally told me the amount. When the bank notification came across my phone,the amount was different than the receipt I just signed. When I returned to the store to ask why the discrepancy I was told it was because a 3% credit card charge was added. However, they were no signs displayed by the cash register. When this supervisor was called she stated it was on the front door. When I looked there is no sign. She then stated it must have come down and there was one of the drive-thru. However, I did not use the drive-thru. She walked me over to show me on the drive-thru window. There was a tiny sign that did state there was a 3% charge for all credit cards. Granted the other signs that were posted were all in large font, but this sign you would need to put on your glasses to read. I told her I felt this was deceitful because I signed a receipt authorizing one amount and then they go back and run the additional 3% and you do not sign that or do you know about it. She said that all of her regular customers know this is what they do. I personally feel that the credit card fee is a part of running a business but my main complaint is the way they try and sneak it on you without being transparent and honest.

I had never used Ray's. I was only attempting to use Ray's in desperation of needing a very specific medication. I called before my Dr. Sent my RX over. The lady politely confirmed they have it in stock. I let the Ray's clerk know I have never been there, "I asked do you need my insurance card? I can deliver it there today. I give you any additional information over the phone". She said no. I arrived the following day. Of course RX unfilled because they didn't have my insurance, I said, "that's why I asked if I needed to bring it yesterday, But i was told no". Then 20 minutes later I was called back to the desk. There was no apologies. She said "we don't take your insurance, we are not filling it, it's too expensive" that's it, in the most rude tone. My time was wasted, their time was wasted and my drs office time was wasted. I know how expensive it is. I know I have scoured the cenla area in search of this RX. I left feeling so upset, discouraged and it could have all been avoided. Sad. But why would they need to be courteous to me...they don't take my insurance?

I have used Rays on Versailles since they opened. The customer service has dropped dramatically. I moved all prescriptions out of Rays for me snd my family and wont be back. Butch would not be happy with the work product of his current employees,

They used to be good, customer service has gotten horrible recently, two months in a row they wouldn’t let me pick up prescriptions because of some dumb rule. Literally 4 business hours difference between when I’m there and when I’m “allowed” to pick up, despite living 50 miles away. Their response is too bad. I’m switching to Amazon pharmacy, the only reason to use a small business is for service, they ran out of that a while ago.
