The PODS scheduling system is atrocious. I was told that my POD would be delivered on a specific DAY. It was then changed, and I was not notified by phone or text. I found out by logging into the website. This was after I had already purchased moving assistance from a moving company. This change in delivery date was EXTREMELY inconvenient. I went for a full 10 days without my belongings and given NO satisfactory explanation for WHY my POD could not be delivered on the agreed upon date. Then, the empty POD was not picked up for THREE weeks. This was also not what had been previously arranged.
I have no good things to say about my experience. Every time I tried to call the customer service line, I was put in touch with someone who took an extremely long time to help me, had no authority to make a decision about anything, and ultimately, was not helpful. Making me wait on hold while they "asked a manager about a discount" or "checked with a manager about why this was incorrect" is incredibly frustrating. The service employees at PODs are not empowered to actually provide customer service.
PODS should ACTUALLY deliver on what they promise. I felt like I was lied to and held hostage by the entire process. I will never use this service again and will not recommend it to others.

Been three weeks dealing with PODS on a charge that was not in my initial agreement. This experience has been a nightmare. First they tell me they will deliver container on April 19 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Then it gets pushed back to 5:45 and 8;45 p.m. It finally gets delivered at 10:47 p.m. I could only get it for 2 days before I had to close on my house but I called them to see if they could get it on Monday instead of that friday since they delivered it so late and I lost a day of moving. Told me no and they would pick it up Friday morning. So I bust it loading it up and have it ready and I do. But they call Friday morning and say they cant get it til April 26th. I closed on my house on the 24th so I had to ask the new owners could it sit in the driveway for 2 days. Then as I get it delivered to my new house, they overcharge me by 284 dollars for the delivery which I got back. Then they add a 314 dollar extra month charge that was never in the initial agreement or list of charges. Been 3 weeks now disputing this and they continue to say they told me about the charge even thought it is not on the initial agreement page which I have a copy of. Terrible company that I will never use again.

Probably the most disorganized and poorly run large scale company I have ever dealt with. They are several weeks out scheduling any deliveries or pick-ups, truck breaks down regularly and unable to meet scheduled pickups or moves. If you are on a deadline or a time schedule for a move, do not use PODS. I had to schedule a pick up several weeks out which fell two days past the billing cycle. Not only did their truck break down (again) and they weren't able to pick up their pod on schedule. They did not prorate the bill for the two days and charged for the full month of the billing cycle. When the issue was bought up, they said they do not off any "grace periods". Terrible company, Terrible Customer Service. Find somebody else.

I was very pleased until I unpacked my pod. Somewhere in their storage and delivery process the corner of the pod was smashed and repaired, with no notice to me. It damaged my belongings. Now the slow process of filing a claim and them reimbursing me begins.

Do not use this company. Especially if you are military. No one on the customer service line can help me. My husband is military and we used them for a PPM move and will likely not be reimbursed because our weight tickets have not been sent to us. Customer service says they’ve been emailed even though I’ve not received anything. It’s terrible to have billboards outside military installations marketing yourself to service members and have this be such an ongoing issue. This causes unnecessary financial hardship during an already stressful time for a service member. The real kicker is they charge you the $120 for the weight tickets and then you never receive them so you can be reimbursed the thousands of dollars it cost to move. Essentially you’re paying to be screwed over. DO NOT USE.

You are asked to reserve a date 7 days prior to desired delivery date but the website reflects no appointments available for weeks resulting in my belongings being held hostage and totally disrupting our move.

I tried to schedule a delivery in late May, and the first available date was July 8. I have family coming from out of state to help me move so everyone arranged to help me that weekend. Two days before they called and said the truck was broke and it would be the following week but they would contact me. They rescheduled me online to the 15th so family arranged to take off work again etc. Then three days before I got an email rescheduling again to the 21st, no explanation. I have no idea at this point if they plan to actually deliver and can’t keep asking family to take off. This is basically two months of extra rent at this time and the national office just offered a $50 refund and no guarantee that the pod will be delivered. The local center’s solution was for me to rent a truck to unload the pod at their center. I get that things get hectic or break but it shouldn’t take two months to get your pod back.

Local Pods people are great. Nice people, very helpful. National Pods logistics = HORRIBLE! Could go on and on, but I won't. Would not recommend.
