DO NOT BRING A PET YOU CARE ABOUT HERE. I took my 5 year old lab back twice for complications after a very routine procedure. After spending $500 on X-rays over a week long period they “thought there might be GI blockage or an infection”. Discussed options, including euthanasia, with a veterinarian telling me, quote :”who has $3000-$4000 to spend on a surgery these days”. I left and went to another local hospital. They quickly did blood work and told me my lab was septic and in very critical condition. Immediate surgery found a foreign object in my lab’s system and removed it. I will never return to Fitzgerald nor would I recommend anyone go there for any reason. The reception/front desk staff are some of the most rude and generally unpleasant people I have ever encountered and should not be working in public facing positions. Overall the worst veterinary experience I’ve ever had.

We are so fortunate to have found Fitzgerald Animal Hospital for our three dogs. We've probably seen every one of the vets over the years for our crew and each is compassionate and knowledgeable. The staff is kind and efficient and visibly work as a team to get things done as quickly as possible. Highly recommend.

I was pleased with the outcome. They weren't able to definitively diagnose my baby's issue but they were kind and empathetic towards his condition.

I have been going here for years but the dr who is there now Dr. Guillory is a sorry excuse for a vet my story is to long but I spent 400 in two days he was very rude and acted totally indifferent to how my dog was acting needless to say the day after my second visit my dog died and i blame him he is a jerk and he only cares about money Dr. Fitzgerald was the best vet ever and this man is doing a horrible service under his name

Our pets have been taken care of at Fitzgerald Animal Clinic since we moved to the Alexandria area. They are very professional and knowledgeable. They love our pets like they are their own.

I boarded my 2 dogs there a week before Christmas, they stayed 5 days , the place looked clean and nice , my dogs seemed fine when I picked them up , they even gave them fresh baths before I picked them up ! Will definitely use them to board my fur babies again !! Decent prices too !!
