This was the absolute worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Me and my family drove from Colorado so that we can be in town for a funeral. After driving 15hrs we got to our room to find a filthy bathroom (there was a brown ring around the tub, hair all over the place). We went to the front desk requesting cleaning supplies so we could clean the bathroom our selves, to which the front desk advised they had to see if maintenance had keys to get into the area that had the supplies. We waited over 30mins with no response. We went back to the room hoping we could at least climb into bed to get some sleep BUT when pulling back the sheets found DEAD BUGS! Disgusted I demanded that we get a new clean room. We were put into a mediocre room/accommodations were not even close to what our reservation was for but we were thankful it was at least clean enough to shower and sleep in for the night. The room had a crack or something in the window as we could hear EVERYTHING that was happening outside throughout the night. All that said there was absolutely NO way we would be staying another night. We were able to get reservations else where and are thankful that we booked via Expedia (who after hearing/seeing video of what happened) who has offered to refund the unused time. This has been an unnecessary struggle and has caused an unneeded level of stress during a very sensitive emotional time. This business needs to either close its doors or re-evaluate what it means to be in hospitality.

The place was very nice but staff was rude and stuck up or whatever you wanna call it security guard let his title go to his head like he was top flight

The hotel needs to update furniture. The bathroom sink would not drain properly or have hot water. Could only get hot water out of the shower faucets. The dresser was damaged. Breakfast was ok if it was hot. Had to reheat after getting. I would not stay again. Only stood one night. That was enough.Rooms: Choice needs to do better.

Staff was friendly, but when I was dressed for bed and started to lie down, I realized the bedding was all wet. Apparently had nit been dried long enough. I used my personal blanket and ironed a sheet dry to cover up with. I was enjoying breakfast until I found a black piece of hair in my gravy and biscuit. Pool was supposed to close at 9:00 PM. I was awakened at 12:30 AM by loud voices coming from the pool and pool area. I don’t think I’ll be staying here again.Noteworthy details: Hair in food.

Never got to stay there because Adrian denied me a room. It took four months to get a refund because Adrian denied a refund. The manager Vickie finally helped me out and confirmed it. I can’t saying anything about the rooms. After three hours talking with support that day $70 down the drain, I never got one.

I LOVED this place! Staff is so friendly and treat you like family! If you needed anything, you can call and they would resolve whatever problem you are encountering ( within their control) they have an AMAZING breakfast hall and the pool was beautiful! The set up was nice! The hot tub was currently out of order ( like most things in this world do) I had an amazing experience all around. It didn't take long to check in, and the receptionists are so sweet. They listen to everything you say, they don't ignore you, they excuse themselves from your conversation to answer the hotel phone ( which is understandable, I would have done the same) there were crickets in the room, but you can't exactly keep them out, Louisiana is overpopulated with crickets right now. But I loved my stay SO much, I will be coming back!Walkability: Everything was within walking distance they have stairs and a wheelchair ramp down to the pool

I'm going to start with a strong desire to give 0 stars because that is what this place deserves it.After driving all day, we were greeted by someone at the front desk who seemed annoyed that we were disturbing her evening by daring to check in at 10 pm.The layout and directions to our suite were confusing, and the elevator didn't work, requiring us to lug our heavy bags up the stairs.Once we found the room we found the room we discovered that there were no spare sheets and blankets in the room.One of our family members went downstairs to request sheets, and the person couldn't find them. She called someone who was supposed to deliver them to our room, 30 minutes later still no sheets. We called down, and they told us they were doing a shift change and that it would take 15 minutes to get them up to us, not acknowledging that we had already requested them. It took 30 minutes. At 11:30, we finally had sheets for the couch bed.I'm not sure when the room was last cleaned, but we found 3 dead crickets and 1 live one canibalizing one of the dead ones. There was debre between the wall and one of the beds and food crumbs in the drawers.

The staff has made our stay so much more comfortable.Carl, thanks for the blanket, Tammy and Ms. Ruby, thanks for the towels and conversation. Also, the ladies at the front desk, thanks for being kind and making sure we had great service.Thanks to the nice young lady at the breakfast bar, she was friendly and helped me when needed.They all made the decision to stay a couple more nights here or move to another hotel for two more nights a easy choice. We stayed. Thanks to all who get to see this review. They need raises ???Rooms: Wish they had a bit more room. Also the bathroom vent wasn't working.Safety: We felt safe and no people were in the parking lot late at night or at all that wasn't a guest.Noteworthy details: The staff made sure we will return and also the quiet and friendly atmosphere was relaxing.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. Staff is always friendly, Pat and her staff give great customer service. room not 5 star because my fridge didn't work, I know if I had told them . James would have corrected it. Pet friendly hotel. Look forward to staying again.

We were pleasantly surprised with this location. We stayed overnight. The room was cleaned and a lot bigger than expected and they also included breakfast which was nice.Rooms: Were clean and comfortable

SO UNPROFESSIONAL.....As a Wyndham member, I am absolutely appalled at the treatment that I received here. I booked a room for me and my children on the website, as I was traveling to Alexandria from Dallas to see my father who was transported there under emergency circumstances. Only to arrive at the location and be told that there is a $10 fee extra foe any per person over the age of 12. I asked the lady at the front desk to provide proof of the policy, either in writing or on the website and her response was "I didn't know that we needed to have it in writing." I then asked for the manager who I later found out is named Creasy, only to be told that the manager would be out until Monday. This took place on a Saturday. July 15th to be exact. I asked if there was a way to contact her considering the urgent circumstances and she replied no. I asked for the DM and she said he was not available either. That I would have to call back that following Monday to speak with someone about the charges. I called Wyndham and they were unaware that this location had been and still was charging guests this ridiculous fee. They called the motel to ask for the reservation to be cancelled on the motel's end, so I could be issued a refund but she refused. How are you supposed to be a representation of Best Western, while making money off of their brand but refusing to honor their request to accommodate their member/guest. This lady not only wouldn't cancel the reservation but went to great extent to call the police to have me removed from the property because I questioned another guest if they were aware of these bogus charges. I'm thinking, what in the world is the extra charge all about anyway. Which I asked but she had no explanation. Furthermore, you can't charge extra fees with no prior notice and apparently no valid reason. She also proceeded to get upset because questions were being asked. Mind you, this is all being done without the on site manager's acknowledgement. After the police arrive, I explain the situation and of course they sided with me. She was so furious and disruptive that as we began to walk outside to continue our conversation, she began to antagonize me. The officers stepped back inside... and what do you know, he comes out to tell me that she finally cancelled the reservation and my money would be refunded. That is so unbelievable. Fortunately, I was able to be greeted with officers who were honestly there to do their job. Protect and Serve! They were way more forthcoming and welcoming in this whole ordeal than establishment itself, as a whole. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. THEY DO NOT DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS!

The entire hotel is older. The rooms weren’t horrible but showers had mildew/mold on ceilings. Tub worn and outdated. Elevator was broken, and the pool wasn’t heated due to being broken. First stayed on backside of hotel and it was sketchy. A male was using drugs under the stairs and then passed out under them. He did eventually leave once management was notified. We moved to the Atrium part which was inside and felt much safer. The breakfast staff was great and food was good. The evening front desk need better customer service skills but the daytime staff were very personable. I would recommend this hotel for budget friendly people or families but stay within Atrium. If you can afford higher priced hotels then don’t choose this one

Initially I booked for 2 days, but spent one night and left first thing in the morning. I asked for upgraded room and was billed that fee and it was horrible, never had this type of service anywhere else!!! I got an atrium room and first I noticed the noise level, room and bathroom are small, tv remote didn’t work, and carpets were dirty. Sink was clogged and I immediately called front desk to request another room I was denied, not given a discount, as a matter of fact I was billed an additional $10 because my son was over 12 years of age- he is 14. I was told there weren’t any available, even though their website showed that there was. I was told someone will be coming to fix the issue immediately. No one did that night. The following morning at 5:30 am I went up to the front desk and waited for 10 mins and no staff was present. I ended up using the bathtub to brush my teeth and wash up ?. I then called the front desk to get someone to come and unclog the drain and an hour later they did. In the meantime I went for breakfast and was asked about the meal tickets, a written note was taped to the door apologizing for the inconvenience because the omelette bar is closed. Hot tub by pool was an drained out. After all the wait Maintenance personal unclogged the sink and As soon as they left I used the toilet and that was also clogged, I washed my hands and sink was still clogged ? it was time to leave. I cancelled the rest of my stay, and that’s when they offered me a different room ? No ??♀️ what a joke!!! ?? best western shame on you!!!

Very disappointed with the presentation of the room. I reserved a suite for 1 night The bathroom was a mess, with water running from the bottom of the toilet when flushing. The bathroom sink was. Not clean and clogged up as well as the kitchenette sink.

We spent 4 days, 3 nights at the Best Western Alexandra for the State of LA. American Legion Convention. While the overall experience was fun and good, there are a few things which could improve a little. The mattress was as hard as a rock, we used the same towels our entire stay, and bought our own toilet paper. We didn't stay in the room much anyway. The service was good, with one exception, Brandee! The service from thus lady and her crew was OUTSTANDING!! Always smiling and helpful, this lady rocks!! Ask 5 people where one might find coffee, they didn't know. Ask Brandee, and every single time you get a big smile and an "I got you Boo". Fresh coffee and creamer in a zip. The breakfast looked amazing!! All in all for. A convention center, this was a great location.Rooms: The rooms are average size, with microwave, fridge, and small coffee maker. The bedding was clean and crisp.Food & drinks: Again, I am an avid coffee drinker. Brandee and her team are magic!!Noteworthy details: Roomy meeting areas, nice atrium with swimming pool inside, great place for a Convention
