“This place was quite literally our savior! We were on a 4 hour drive and got a flat tire about 1.5 hours in. We called a couple places that didn’t answer. Then, we called Despino’s, and they picked up and said they could get us in immediately. As soon as we pulled up, they were ready to take the car into the garage. We waited inside (which was extremely nice with cushioned chairs, bar stools, magazines, vending machines, bathrooms, and very clean) for about 15 minutes while they diagnosed and fixed the problem. Luckily, we had an easy, quick fix (just needed the valve stem replaced) and had us back on the road in no time! From the lady on the phone to the mechanics working, everyone was very nice and helpful. Not to mention, this all happened 30 minutes before their closing time, but they were still happy to help!”

“Audi told me my car would make it to Shreveport on an engine line needing a fuel pump from nola- it didn’t. I was fortunate that it died near Alexandria bc I stumbled in the caring expert hands of TJ and his shop. While his wait time can be lengthy bc he is in high demand (which speaks for his quality and how long his business has been running with popularity) - he managed to make time for me on short notice as I had to pay for a rental last minute and I was stranded out of town. He was honest and took pride in his work, easy to reach and communicate well with Crystal at the front desk. It’s rare to meet mechanics that you can trust with your cars you love- but I’m grateful I found this one! I felt that the pricing was fair given the amount of work and turnaround time. One of my issues is not fully resolved and he’s still working with me to get to the bottom of it. I appreciate his diligence and kindness- make sure you say high to Tank the fur baby when you’re there!”

“I bought a used car and a check engine light came on. I was sent to National Transmission because they honor the maintenance/repair service I use. The guys at this shop are so down to earth and extremely helpful. They hooked up their scanner, found the issue, even put the car on the rack to take a closer look finding issues that would be costly and pop up later, and submitted a claim. But even though my policy deferred the claim to a dealership due to a warranty coverage, these guys offered sound advice which lead to my swapping for a more mechanically sound vehicle from the used car company I had purchased from as I was still in the 7 day test drive period.If you want a mechanic that you can trust, that is extremely knowledgeable, and very eager to genuinely help you, then the guys at National Transmission are who you need to partner with. I am blown away and so very grateful by the help they willingly offered.”

“Great service had to have compressor , condenser, dryer replaced. Truck started acting up on a 500 mile trip so i stopped in slidell La they said it would be 4 days to the diagnostic and if compressor there are eight ahead of me and the compressor was on backorder. I decided to wait and drive home runbning with little or no air condition and brought it back to Hixson in Alexandria La. And in six hours it was all fixed and out door. AC so cold it runs me out. Excellent service even had a loaner available. I highly recommend. The contact with employees were great and they were very knowledgeable

“These guys are amazing! A few hours before Thanksgiving we snapped a leaf spring just outside of town on our trailer. We managed to get off the highway and park the trailer. Coming into town we needed a replacement leaf spring and were worried we would never find it in stock somewhere.
