I recommend joining the YMCA-Westside because it is very accommodating. The staff, especially Susan and Nikki, are so friendly, and the members are wonderful. This makes my workouts enjoyable. The gym is always clean, and the equipment is new.

Gym is too crowded. Management is terrible... On 10/30/23 they changed my subscription when a member was removed from plan, they removed my discount. I went in person to correct the issue and they were rude did not help. I went to cancel online. But they still are charging me. Was paying 72. For 3 people and now they are trying to charge me 80 for two. The lady at the desk was no help and extremely rude.

The most expensive gym in the area, hours are terrible. Sure, you can pay the extra $5 on top of the already exorbitant membership fee, but why should you have to? The membership fees are already ridiculously overpriced. The gym manager is also condescending and unhelpful when you bring issues to her attention. The attitude seems to be "you should be grateful to be a member here." Gym itself isn't bad, although there are way too many machines that most people don't use, and generally not enough of the equipment that is most frequently used. Basically what your paying for are the child care services, and the pool. Personally, I only go to them because they are the only pool in the area. If your looking for just a gym, there are many better and more cost effective options in the Westside area, around Plaquemine and Port Allen.

Very clean, friendly folks. And best of all, it is located in our subdivision. Ms. Susan is very friendly with a pure heart.

This is a nice gym I’ve been going to for years now. New equipment and clean facility BUT the hours are absolutely horrible. And no, I’m not paying an extra $5 just for 24 hour access. The membership fee is already high enough considering I don’t need the pool, child care, classes, etc. You need to improve your hours and include a membership fee for exclusive gym use.

With limited options on this side of the river, this gym is so appreciated! Lots of options to exercise and kept very clean. There’s been recent upgrades to equipment/space too so, I’d recommend joining :)

Investment is the best way to generate more income for yourself, trading and investing on a top-notch platform with a trustworthy, dependable and steadfast Forex trader like Mrs. Kayla Williams, I earned a profit of 30%-100% daily and a total of $7,000 after 7 days of effective trading and mining on my account. With the minimum capital of $500, I watched my profit grow daily until I made my withdrawal successfully through the market. The time and efforts you had put into this work that is beyond excellence. Take my cordial thanks! You are really an efficient, organized and result-oriented woman, I strongly recommend Kayla Williams

Shout out to Nikki at the Dow YMCA for helping me set up a work out plan and “showing me the ropes”!! I really love how everyone acknowledges you when you walk in and are willing to help in any way!

My son just finished swimming lessons a couple of weeks ago and we were very pleased with the program overall. He learned new skills and became more comfortable in the water. The instructor Mallory was very sweet and patient!

I absolutely Love The Y. It's always a refreshing experience to be able to exercise in a pleasant environment. The pool was at a comfortable temperature. It was all I needed to get through the laps successfully. Although this was an overall good day at The Y, at 8 am the pool was not as clean as it could have been. At the opening of the day (shift) if at all possible, please ask them to sweep, vacuum or pump out the debris, like bugs, grass, etc. I appreciate the kindness the lifeguard showed. The front desk staff as well. Again I absolutely Love The Y, healthy spirit mind and body.

This is a nice place, but the constant changing of hours is getting frustrating. Today they closed at 3, even though this page says 5. They started closing at 8 during the week. The 3:00 closing today isn’t posted anywhere that I saw. Very frustrating when you make plans to work out based on hours that always seem to change.
