“My Cavalier 7 mos. old puppy wasn't eating or drinking for 4 days. He was miserable. Took him to Medvet 2x over the weekend in Metairie (caring people there) but his diagnostics of blood test & ultrasound were showing a bit of gas & nothing. Took him to Dr. Jeff and it turns out the kibble Purina Pro didn't agree with him and the (human grade) "quality treats" the ladies at the office were giving him were too fatty. They prescribed a digestive Hills canned food and it was miraculous. He can also have a desicated liver treat occasionally. A life changer & I get my happy smart playful puppy back. The importance of understanding FOOD a dog eats is imperative in his care is what they taught this experienced dog owner. A popular "vet recommended" kibble is not always the best thing. I love the way they give us time & attention in their relaxed atmosphere. We are sticking with this Vet, naturally! Looking forward to play dates there too.”

“My elder dog Beaux, developed cataracts he had about 10% vision. They did surgery and he’s doing great. His vision is restored. Very professional, knowledgeable and a streamline process. But very expensive! I’m grateful I have insurance. Despite the cost they did a great job!”
“Dr. Saylor has seen my pets for many years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Her and her team are genuinely super sweet and helpful and they will always call me to let me know what's going on and ask if I'm okay with doing something before they do it, for example getting an xray, shots, etc. Which I appreciate. “We switched to Dr. Ledet's office after we had a few not so great experiences with our previous vet of 6 years. Dr. Ledet is SO thorough & knowledgeable. She not only tells you what your pet may need, but goes in depth as to why, & I think that is very important in a healthcare provider of any kind. She explains every little thing no matter how long it takes and answers all of my questions! We bring both of our girls here (golden retriever & black lab), and our lab just got her teeth cleaned & had x-rays while she was under anesthesia which I LOVE that they offer x-rays not only of their teeth, but a thoracic x-ray to check for abnormalities! We are all about taking preventative measures to keep our girls happy & healthy! And SHE called me personally during Mei's teeth cleaning & after to tell me how it was going/how it went/review her findings/etc. Her office may be touch more expensive than our last, but it is 100% true when they say "you get what you pay for!" She & her staff are WORTH IT!”
“I needed Heartworm Preventative for my 12 yr old. I check the availability at Riverside Vet and Mary set me up pronto. In fact, my Care Credit didn't go through b/c their site was down and she allowed me to take the medications and stated she would contact me via email when the transaction went through. Very personable and trusting - highly recommended ~”
“I’m not one to bash or post negative comments so I won’t. With that being said, after moving to the northshore, I couldn’t seem to find a vet that I trusted with my precious fur babies. Last Friday, Franklin was in heavy breathing distress. I rushed him into the vet that I WAS using. Before doing even one test, she told me he probably had a tumor on his liver. She then began tests and gave him medications, all totalling $515 (there was no tumor). I left with a terrible feeling that I was being taken advantage of. I prayed and prayed for God’s discernment. I was led to another vet, and from the moment we met this morning, I knew he was in the right hands. Her name is Dr. Katie at The Maher Animal Hospital in Covington. Her ability to explain in-depth and in layman’s terms all the tests and bloodwork further confirmed that I was in the right place. I would highly recommend her and this place to all pet owners. Franklin is on the right track. And Princess will be meeting Dr. Katie soon for her checkup!!!”

“Dr. David Moores is excellent. Our Weimaraner puppy had a rare condition called juvenile cellulitis, also known as "puppy strangles". Dr. David was very thorough in his approach and quick care!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!”

“Welcomed by a beautiful kitty at the front desk. Flowed by beautiful souls that work there. The energy in the building felt very calm and relaxed.Workers even offered their tools to help clean up something that spilled in my trunk.I can only imagine how well and safe our fur children would be taken care of here by the way they were so quick to want to help and take care of me,and that was the first time I have ever been there. I was dropping off a delivery for them.I Will definitely be looking into switching my fur child's primary care into their hands.Thank you to the staff for being such caring and kind people.”

He always asks about my other animals . If he is able to he will ask about Otto my dog when I’m in for meds or food . That’s going above and beyond , something that is quite rare. The staff is always great too!?”
“I can’t say good enough things about southpaws! After a three week downhill battle with our dog at two other clinics, my five year-old active girl stopped walking and was miserable. Out of desperation, another clinic referred me to South paws. I called them and they were so sweet on the phone and told us to come on in. we had an hour and 15 minute drive from our house and got there at 4:45 when they closed at 5 PM. Dr. Newton and her team stayed late (like 7:30/8PM!) to evaluate her, give her fluids, and run blood work. The Night Shift nurse was incredible and honestly, the whole staff was just phenomenal. They treat you like part of the family.
While she had two overnight stays, we received numerous calls from dr Newton and the team updating us and going over care plan and just brainstorming. Since being home, we have also received many calls checking in on how Willow has been doing.
Dr. Newton also kept our vet in Baton Rouge informed and talked to him the night that we brought Willow in to go over everything that we had been dealing with for three weeks. I can’t thank y’all enough. We are forever grateful.”

“The first year of our cat Willow’s life was fighting every infection know to cats!Snotty nose with multiple scopes at Vet hospitals left her with nose membrane damage and still snotty. First visit to Dr Posey and Kristi started the turn around. The acupuncture helped clear her nose - even though she is not a good patient. Now almost a year later she is doing great.Highly recommend Dr Posey and the holistic medicine approach. We travel from Florida for her services, she’s that good!”

“My pup had an injury and I need to get him checked out quickly. Our regular vet clinic was booked so I looked elsewhere. First, we received a warm welcome by the front office staff. Next, Dr. Ashley and the tech made the physical exam as comfortable as possible for both my dog and I (which is a huge effort with a blue heeler!) Dr. Ashley was thorough in the examination, explanation of finding and recommendations. Thanks to this lovely team for making our experience as positive as possible given the circumstances.”
“We found AHC after struggling to find a day care facility our anxious dog liked. Soon after we also transitioned to our pup receiving veterinary care here too along with overnight boarding. The staff and vets at AHC are so caring, kind, and patient. They took great care of our pup. We sadly moved states and have left AHC behind and finding a new facility for our pup is one of the saddest parts of our move. I'm not sure we will ever find a place that compares to AHC. I'm attaching a video from the webcam that I was so happy I happened to see one day and it truly shows the one on one attention that every animal gets here. I hope Tasha doesn't mind!!”
“Was directed here by Splendor Farms to do a collection on my dog for breeding. My time there was short but everyone was friendly and helpful. The vet, who had only seen my dog once before was very nice and remembered his name. Although he wasn’t very successful at his job the vet was at hers. She had us in and out with some tips on how to improve the chances of a good collection next time. If I didn’t live out of state, I would bring my dogs here. They also had facilities for horses and I assume, other large animals. Nice, large facility.”
