I worked here as was fortunate to be around of the best people I’ve ever met.. if it wasn’t for my ding bat brother I would have never left… there are a lot artificial people in the country with reside in… however these people are the real deal good ole southern hospitality.. I miss them . Hope them and there families are doing well ….. the ford sincerely…..

Now the new Abbeville grocery store in town.Not a pleasant place to Shop. Instead of asking May I help you find something ? They stare at you like your stealing the store! Good thing the deli is a friendly place to visit.Won't be going there anytime Soon.

.ROBIE'S is now part of the Champagne's local chain. Champagne's stores vary widely by location, and our much-loved "Robie's" ex-"Big Star" is their best.History: My parents had 2 homes; one @ South Crowley & one @ Intracoastal City, so I frequented Robie's for decades. I can hear my late Mom: "Son, when you get to Robie's, get me a small sack of yellow onions. Ask the butcher to split & season 3 small fryers for our BBQ tomorrow."Champagne's Robie's is still mostly called "Robie's" by many of us.They now carry multiple frozen products from local food companies like "LENA'S" & "Ouida's". Crawfish pies, seafood egg rolls, shrimp dishes, etc.When I last visited the in-store made boudin was unavailable, but I think that may have been corrected by now.Excellent large front parking, helpful folks, nice selections on most things.Do stop by Champagne's "ROBIE'S" and check it out !Rick .
