“I love pure barre! I am a runner and pure barre healed a strained glute muscle that I had been dealing with for years. The instructors are so friendly and helpful. The studio is always very clean and smells nice despite all of the hard workouts taking place there! Pure barre has improved my mental and physical health. I feel stronger every time I go. I feel like I am part of a community of people that care about each other's well-being.”
“Staff is super friendly and impeccably creatively dressed. If you ask, they will help you style an item and recommend different pieces if you are going to an event or in search of something to fill a specific need. The store’s curation is beautiful and very contemporary. There are lots of interesting, easily wearable pieces that my eye often doesn’t fall on right away because of how attractive the unusual/textural/sculptural stuff is. The result of the aesthetic mix inspires thinking differently about dressing and styling, even when I don’t pick anything up. Fair warning—some of the price tags are steep, but A) not all of them are that way, and B) higher cost per piece is often the nature of shopping for high quality pieces from small brands and emerging designers who do not have the scale and/or willingness to cut costs on sourcing materials, production processes, labor practices, craftsmanship, or thoughtful design. And you can always wait for a sale—there are very good deals on a lot of cool, niche, sometimes very high-end pieces. Nothing here comes from a 52-micro-season brand. Like its peer boutiques on Vine St (Continuum, TMBTITWI, Sloane), everything at Idlewild has careful thought and artistry behind it. Go, browse, be mindful and open-minded—the people who make up this business are that way themselves.”

“Tammy, and her staff, are AMAZING! I had a double mastectomy and chose prosthetics over implants. Finding Personal Symmetrics was such a BLESSING! Tammy was patient, informative and compassionate! She really took the stress off by handling the insurance company for me and making SURE I was comfortable and properly fitted with my all my prosthetics (I was able to get custom ones AND ones for swimming!) I so grateful for all their help!!! They're AWESOME”
