Your Merkle employees on 5 mile trail keep poking needles of Krantom me. Why are they cutting the same spot they have 6 days in a row?? Tell your employees to stop coming in my house ?

Never used you never will. Traffic laws apply to everyone so when you’re workers are pulling off the shoulder of the highway they should probably use a turn signal. Your driver almost killed my family.

After my most recent treatment, I have noticed consistent light vs. dark stripes throughout my lawn. Leads me to believe that either the fertilizer was under applied in areas or overlapped causing burn. Have reached out multiple times and advised that "Katie" will be calling me back. I have emailed and sent pictures. No response 10 days later. Ready to cancel my service at this point, but also willing to give them the benefit to correct the situation.Update as of 7/1/19 - Received an email last Thursday 6/27 from "Katie" informing me she would "be in our area on Friday 6/28/19" and that she would take a look at our yard. Unsurprisingly, Katie was a no show (hint - I work from home with a view of the front yard as well as have cameras). Canceling my service today. Very disappointed, Merkle.

Beware of Merkle LandscapingThe short version- work that was pointed out during the walk through with both the company representative and the men who performed the job was not completed. When asked, the company refused to negotiate a settlement. Update- 45 days later, all but two of the small trees and shrubs in the area are growing back. The full story- When I walked the job with the Merkle Landscaping representative I specifically pointed out three honeysuckle shrubs to be removed that were the reason why I hired them. I said that my adult sons and I had broken two shovels trying to dig out the bushes and that was the reason I needed to hire outside help. When the contract was written it did not stipulate specifically the removal those three shrubs, but it also did not say that the workers would only use hand tools. It said what the “crew daily rate” was. Neither party stipulated that the crew would be two men with hand tools or two men with a stump grinder. When I walked the job with the crew, I again pointed out that the bushes were the most important part of the job. They worked very hard and did a good job but left the three stumps from the shrubs after cutting off the branches. They have already sprouted and will be the same size as before the work was ‘completed’ next year. The problem was that the workers did not speak enough English to understand that this was the beginning point of the job. Our communication was limited, so the stump removal was missed again. When I called the Merkle representative I offered to pay more for them to get rid of the stumps but I asked for a concession to pay half the hourly rate for the extra work.My offer was turned down by the Merkle representative because in the contract it says that they are not liable for anything that is unseen or not marked. The pine stump from the tree I had removed years ago was clearly visible and located within 5 feet of these three shrubs. I mentioned that the large pine stump could stay because it was dead. Pine trees with more than a foot diameter at the base have root systems larger than 5 feet, so the shrubs were likely to be tangled in the roots of the former tree. Also, I mentioned breaking two shovels trying to get the shrubs out. The shrubs were seen and many of the pine tree roots are above ground. When you agree to a contract with Merkle Landscape make sure that you stipulate specifically what you want done. The workers did the job as described to them by their boss, but my desires for this job were lost in translation and the job that I requested was not the job completed. Before you commit to any work with this company understand fully that if the job you want is not done, the owner will not make it right.Update: 45 days later all but two small trees are growing back.

Would not recommend after the simple serves I had requested. I will not use this company again. The staff that came to my home spend majority of their time sitting down When I offered to help, they said I wasn't allowed to and then continue to sit on the ground. But yet my bill was based on their 'time spend at my house.' I would not recommend this company not only because of their lazy employees, but also because they damaged my fence and stones around the lawn and then denied it. My quote did NOT reflect the final bill I received. When I spoke with the owner he became very defense and bragged about how successful his business was and how I didn't have my quote in writing so I couldn't prove was I was quoted. ..... Save yourself and use another company!!

I can't say enough great things about my experience and end product with Merkle. I worked closely with Kevin to design my yard and he delivered exactly what I wanted and then some !! I would highly recommend him and their team !

Unless you want to pay a lot for lawn care, don't use this company. I called for 3 yards of topsoil and Doug, the owner, misunderstood the message request and thought it was 3 yards of mulch. He left a message saying that they would be happy to do the work, he was familiar with my house because he does my neighbor's house and the cost for the mulch would be $684.00....so I called back to say it was topsoil not mulch. Topsoil is only $148.00 for 5 yards and I only needed 3 yards so big difference in price. After I corrected the mulch vs topsoil,. his truck would no longer fit down my street!!!!! And I have a double driveway with a 5 car parking lot!
Interesting!!!!! Still doing my neighbor's. Rip-off, Folks! Beware!
