I presume if you have a hint of brown to you they will “randomly” select you for drug screening. Has happened twice out of the 3 times flying out from here. Not even trying to be dramatic about it but it admittedly hurt me a little.

Barkley Airport is nice. The people are nice, the hometown connection is convenient. The reason I have given them 3 stars is due to the way we have been treated by Contour Airlines regarding a missing bag. We made an inquiry with baggage claim when we arrived on November 1st. We have medication etc. In the bag. I have had to speak with the departing flight, connecting, and destination airports several times. After a fee weeks, I placed an itemized list of our valuables. Immediately I was contacted by Gina; who supervises baggage, and told that we did not file a claim within 4 hours. We did. It does not make sense why we wouldn't. We explained that we had and the next comment was that the bag was checked at the gate. We did not. I am not sure how that matters either way but we would not lie. The whole experience has made my husband and I feel demeaned and just let down the way we have been treated. Our company flies out there at least once a week. We will not be back until Contour apologizes or is exchanged with another airline.

The new Barkley Regional Airport is great, but not perfect. The good: The building looks great, inside and out. There is plenty of seating before security along with clean and spacious restrooms. All employees I encountered were great. Beyond security there is 3x more seating than in the planes providing service. It seemed like every seat had a charger adjacent to it. There were even some seats with a desk area that could be swung in front of you. More clean and spacious restrooms. They even have an indoor room for pet relief. The Wi-Fi is the fastest I have ever used that was free. The waiting area at the gates is the nicest and most comfortable I have encountered at any airport.Honestly, I can only find two flaws.1.) The selection of food/drinks is what you would expect to find in a court house. Simple vending machines with a limited selection.2.) The scanner for the bags at TSA is new and supposedly renders great images according to those that work there, but it literally takes 30+ seconds for each bag to get scanned. These aren't deal breakers, but certainly annoying. This airport is so nice, it is a shame that only one airline services Paducah, otherwise more could enjoy this facility.

8.1.23 Brand new facilities, a few bugs to work out, but definitely for the better in local air travel...Excellent small facility with nominal flights and traveler's ease! If you're patient and have time...?

Just toured. Incredible asset for West Kentucky. Flights to and from Charlotte on Contour.

Wonderful little airport. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Nice waiting area, very modern looking. Will now be my choice when traveling to Southern Illinois.

Currently one of my favorite airports to fly out of! Its small so its easy to get through, short lines, and everyone is very kind. First time flying out of their new building and it was great! Definitely recommend.

Only giving 4 because we had an unfortunate circumstance with the plane having mechanical diff which caused 5hr delay and my daughter would miss all her connections. Kudos to Kennedy who was SO helpful to help us arrange a flight out of Evansville IN which got her home in Rochester only an hour later than planned! We were so appreciative of her diligence! Wouldn’t have rec’d that help at larger airports!!

I'd much rather fly out of Barkley than Nashville. Wayyyy shorter lines and so convenient since I live less than fifteen minutes away.

Our Daughter was flying out of the Barkley airport today with her four small children. Everyone was so gracious and helpful. The ticket Lady made the kids feel special and the head of the local TSA also helped getting them all through security. We could not be more thankful for everyone’s help today.

Bigger doesn’t mean better it’s small but everyone is very nice and friendly from checking in to tsa and it’s the cheapest airport parking your ever pay

Saddened they couldnt get a bid with SkyWest/United any further and had to use Contour. Raised my travel cost to be $200 more on an already $300 flight to visit family. I'll have to fly to St. Louis from now on.

Very small airport which I love. You do have to pay for parking, $8 a day. The airport is older and outdated, but they had signs for an update coming this year. We got there on time but did have to wait in line for a while to check in because there's only one person checking people in and there was one customer who just took forever. The same person who checks you in, is also the same person who boards you on the plane, and also the same person scraping ice from the wings of the plane so that was funny to see. TSA was quick and the gate is just right there. There are vending machines with drinks and snacks at the gate, so that was good. Everything went smooth.

Very small in the middle of no where. Very interesting "food court". Only two gates. TSA people are kind. More food at gates that at the court. Would not recommend.

Small back woods middle of nowhere. We were running late coming from Paducah. Pretty sure they closed the check in gate extremely early. Still had 10 minutes before the plane took off & wasn't allowed to check in. Thats southern hospitality of United Airlines.
