Absolute gentleman, fair priced. Anyone who uses any other, would be wasting time and money. I’ll only use them from now on.

I don't know where Trent was at but that is not B & W Auto Salvage in Vine Grove, KY! I always ask for Brett, who's the owner, and he tries to help anyway he can! They have several classic cars and many hard to find parts :) I always call them first when I need anything automotive!

Not sure what shop Trent reviewed, but it is not this one. I have been going to B&W for years and I have never had any problems. I have a hard time trusting any mechanic since I know nothing about cars or repairing them. I go out of my way to go to this salvage yard since the owner always tells me the truth and never over charges me. The owner has even went out of his way to look at cars that I have considered purchasing. I tell everyone I know to go to this place!

I've been using B&W Auto Salvage for years. I am a delivery driver and do a lot of my own work on the cars I drive . . . and because I drive so much and make so little pay, salvage parts are of great importance! B&W will either pull the part I want or allow me to pull it myself. They're helpful if I'm having an issue with my car and offer suggestions on what might be a possible solution. The yard is local to where I live (within a five minute drive) so it's convenient for me. Because I can't afford to have a late model vehicle, they're likely to have something I need when I need it. They do occasionally get a late model vehicle in, but it's rare. Typically, they're salvaged vehicles are at least five to ten years old. Prices have always been good on the parts I've gotten . . . and I've been able to negotiate them down a bit at times. I recommend this yard to a lot of people and will continue to do so. Having read a previous review that came across as negative, I really have to wonder if the reviewer rated the right yard! First of all, there is no "service desk" person at B&W . . . there's the owner and a mechanic and the owner's father (who drops by and helps out from time to time). The mechanic, as I stated, is a little gruff and rough around the edges, but he's helpful and knowledgeable and seems to do a good job. The prices I've encountered have always been good. Finally, B&W is not out in the "boondocks" but located just off of highway 60, across from Ft. Knox. If you are in the Radcliff/Ft. Knox/Vine Grove/Flaherty/Muldrough area, it's probably within ten minutes of you. If you need some parts, give these guys a try . . . but remember, they're not Wal-Mart or Sams Club, they're a small, independent business run by an individual guy . . . who just so happens to have a great attitude, helpful advice and strong ethics.

As soon as I walked into the door I had to find the service desk guy and as soon as I see him he looks at me blankly. After about 5 seconds of complete silence I had to tell him what I wanted. He was completely useless and unhelpful. He had a tattoo of some type of dragon on his forearm, for future reference.
The prices for parts are crazy, definenetly not worth the trip all the way out to the boondocks...
Oh... And theyre yard is closed to the public.
