I have done some minor work for this organization and think they do an amazing job at caring for the animals and finding new homes for them.

I was looking for a good place to rehome my dog. I was given him from a family member not knowing he had behavioral issues. I’ve been trying my best to take care of him but I work full time. My husband join the military and we can’t have pets where we’re being stationed. When I called they didn’t have room, which is unfortunate. However, my three star review is with the person that I spoke to. They weren’t very supportive. And honestly made me feel bad about taking him to the shelter. As if the decision isn’t hard enough. She did give me some other rehoming options. But that was after telling me I should try $200 training courses. I just know if I do have to make that unfortunate decision I will not be coming here. I’d prefer to go somewhere that understands I wouldn’t be able to care for this dog the way he needs and needs to be with someone who has the time and patience for him and I shouldn’t feel bad about trying to get him into a better home.

Penny is rude. She should really give a person a chance to speak before throwing so much attitude. You never the hell and heartbreak someone might be going through.I can't reply to you through this, but it would require a private conversation I'd be glad to have if you would leave me an email please.

This is a great place with a wonderful group of volunteers who care for pets without homes. It's a no-kill shelter. They cater to many types of animals, from pigs and goats to cats and dogs.

This shelter is amazing. They are the only shelter in this area that combo tests. They put so much love and care into all 9f the animals at their shelter. They are not kill amd they gave animals a chance that normally would have been euthanized some place else.

I adopted Simon 8 years ago and absolutely love him! They have always been very kind and supportive of the animals of the community. But, I think people need to understand that just because they are a shelter doesn’t mean they can help everyone. They rely on don ations to run the shelter and that is always a struggle. They DO NOT have a veterinarian on staff to help with medicial emergencies….please take them to a veterinarian. They only have so much room being a small shelter. I think people are too judgmental when they are in a situation and ARC is unable to help them. Please spay and neuter your pets!
