Everything went great at the Woodford Humane Society. We got Pete he's a great dog hangs with my dad.
I'm so glad we adopted from Woodford Humane Society everyone was great.

A very caring facility for dogs and cats. I was unable to keep one
ofmy four dogs, a hound named Elvis. Woodford Humane Society found a home for him. I keep thinking that I will spot him in a red
pickup truck with his owner! Recently I called them to advise me
where I might go to put my 14 year old King Charles Cavalier to sleep. They recommended Eckert Veterinary Hospital in Versailles. A wonderful suggestion.

My wife and I have adopted two of our kitties from Woodford, Nocturne (was Bulgogi) and Ravi. The staff has been professional and amazing answering questions, replying to questions timely manner (be mindful of when they are open and have staff and you will have no problem!), and attentive. Make sure you read their information before adopting (website-adopt link- then the big “read this first” which explains the process and gives clear instructions). We love our fur family and would do anything for them and happily the most recent addition is doing amazing after a rocky start in life. Thank you!

So far my experience is you call the number, bc they are only open by appt. You get a phone message saying they won't return phone calls about making an appt and to call back. First, why aren't we open? Second, why doesn't anyone ever answer the phone?

If you are in need of a pet then I highly recommend woodford county humane society. They have the nicest employees and they really do go over the top for the animals and customers. They are a no-kill shelter as well.

I love Woodford County Humane Society!! I drove a puppy 2hrs just to have her re-homed by them and everyone was so kind and helpful. If you are looking for a pet check them out!!

I adopted Nicole 4th of July weekend she was a three month old baby kitten. I had a great experience and highly recommend this location for adoption. The online registration process was simple, the staff is friendly and assistive, and all the cats were well tended to. Nicole acclimated to my home right away with no signs of fear or having been neglected any time prior to her adoption. She had all of her shots up to date, was neutered, and was litter box trained. Today she is triple in size and weight, climbs stairs in a single bound, and loves to purr loud.

Visited this location and the staff & volunteers are very dedicated to caring for the dogs, cats, and other animals that are in need of their forever home. It is a no kill shelter and they do whatever they can to care for the animals and if necessary give them the medical care & procedures they need to be healthy again.

Wonderful experience! They worked hard to match us with a new kitten. Lots of preparation already done, with a good welcoming kit and records for our vet. The vet rates them very highly!
