We did not stay in a room. We just toured the grounds. It's free lots to see and lots of space for kids to get out some energy before getting back in the car for the ride home.
I bought my son a Weird Kentucky book many years ago, and I've wanted to visit since.

We started off our weekend at The Castle with the warmest welcome from GM RJ. Though we arrived before check-in, we were immediately in good hands with bartender Shawn, who made us feel at home as we waited for our spa appointments. Our group had booked six treatments, and the spa team went above and beyond to ensure we were completely comfortable.
Check-in was seamless, and every hotel staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and professional. That evening, we celebrated our girls’ trip and a birthday at the restaurant, where we enjoyed the new fall menu. There was a small issue with our main course, but our fantastic server, Mauro, handled it immediately, making us feel like family.
Huge thanks to RJ and his amazing team for the outstanding service and accommodations!

The castle had a tea party interactive play. I got tickets for my Mother Wife and daughter for mothers day. I stayed home and watched the grandkids while they had aday out. They had a great time. It kept me out of the doghouse for months. ?

My wife and I went for our nine year anniversary. I'd wanted to experience this place for years, and they did not disappoint! The atmosphere was impeccable, beautifully decorated, and luxurious. We ordered the waygu ribeye with green beans, mashed potatoes, and the mac & cheese. The ribeye was the bell of the ball! Cooked perfectly, with a stellar-craveable wood-fired flavor. We started with the deviled eggs; they were unique with trout roe and candied bacon. My wife loved them!! I can't rave about this place enough.

Excellent atmosphere, meal was delicious, friendly and professional wait staff, beautiful date night for a special occasion! The roof is a great spot to see a KY sunset.

We made a special trip to the Castle, for lunch, grounds were lovely, but the food was lacking. Mine was tasty but came out at room temperature, my wife's was the same, cold toast, and eggs, all of it seems to be precooked! To bad, we were looking forward to much more!!!
