There is a hidden gem in Versailles. It is located inside a BP gas station. If somebody didn't tell you, you wouldn't know. Doughdaddy's has some of THE very best donuts anywhere! They have a jewelry case filled with a wide variety of delicious yeast and cake donuts. One favourite is the cream cheese iced sour cream donut. Our granddaughter loves both the raspberry filled glazed and the blueberry cake donut. My brother-in-law loves this place so much he will drive 30 minutes out of his way to get his Doughdaddy fix. If you fill up with gas you get a free glazed donut. But once you see all the options you won't be able to leave without trying a few more. This store has beer cheese, sandwiches, homemade candy and candles for sale as well. They also always have day old donuts marked down on a table for sale. They sell donuts from opening to close and the staff have always been friendly and provide great customer service. If you are ever travel to Lexington to see the horses or visit family, be sure and stop in for a donut. You won't be sorry.

Was recommended these donuts by Yelp and at first was confused when we pulled up to a gas station. Went inside, was greeted, and and saw a large selection of donuts. We got a variety dozen and were very pleased with how soft and fluffy the donuts were!! Had to hold myself back from eating more than 3 at once! Clean shop, great donuts. 10/10 would recommend!

I wasn't expecting this to be in a gas station so that threw me off a bit but the doughnuts were fresh and they had plenty of options. I had asked for a long John (chocolate custard- filled doughnut) and they gave me a caramel one. It was still pretty good, just not really what i wanted.

What a great find just driving by and stopped to get gas and noticed a donut shop. Had the maple bacon, apple fritter and blueberry with cream cheese icing. The donuts were very pillowy and the apple fritter was great!! Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area!! Can't wait to travel back through Lexington and get some great donuts!!

There are fresh donuts and the place was clean. Just need a little bit of paint on the bathroom door. There are plenty of pumps. They have fountain drinks and many choice for bottles and cans. There are little gifts for children and candy toys to entertain them on the car ride.

I'm not sure why this place was recommended to us! The doughnuts were heavy and soooooo sweet! If you want a great bakery not far try B's bakery in downtown Frankfort. I wouldn't give this place a second glance.

I usually hate reviews that aren't about the food itself but this is the second time I have had a problem Doughdaddys. I will say the donuts are good. But.... The first time I was waiting to pick out my donuts and the lady behind the counter tried to skip over me. This is no big deal since people are looking at choices. But when I nicely pointed out I was next in line she was rude. This time I picked out 5 donuts and she said I needed to get one more. I guess 1/2 dozen is a better deal. Well she still only gave me 5 donuts. I'm traveling, so was far down the road when I noticed. Good donuts but maybe to much work.

Doughdaddy's was written up in a national article of best donut places. It also happened to be written up in the brief time I was planning my current vacation, such that I discovered it would be on my route. And so I found myself eating gas station donuts for probably the only time in my life. No, that's a lie. This is a donut shop that happens to be located in a gas station. They're difficult to find but worth the effort. These donuts are super light and fluffy. I didn't get the "fluffy donut" but I wonder just how fluffier they can get. The cream cheese frosting is wonderul - get a few of those. The buttermilk tasted of buttermilk. The filled donuts are great and the devil's food does taste like devil's food - not too dark, a little sweet like cake. I wish I had the stomach for a full dozen so I could have tried some others like the sour cream or the maple bacon (came recommended). Go there and tell me.

LOVE THESE DONUTS!! So so yummy. Ands there's never too bad a line. The bacon maple is my favorite.
