My family and I finally had a day off together, so we decided to take a drive out through rural Boone County to do some hiking and to visit a few farms. Thistlehair Farm was my favorite stop of the day! Although we showed up later in the afternoon, they still had a great variety of fruits, vegetables, and fresh eggs at their lovely roadside stand. We purchased a gorgeous Hubbard gourd, salad greens, apples, and a scrumptious looking carrot cake. I am really looking forward to tonight's farm fresh dinner and dessert! Thanks for the gracious hospitality and great experience.
