We had a wonderful visit to the Stanford Inn. We loved this adorable Inn and all the staff and as great. The bedding is plush and cozy, the rooms are very functional and quiet. The toiletries are locally sourced and my wife keeps bragging her hair has never felt this soft. This is a wonderful quiet place to get away and or for small gatherings with individual rooms and sitting areas. The quaint town is family friendly and lots to do within an hour of driving.
Rooms: Cozy with luxury feel
Nearby activities: Forts, historical Danville, distilleries
Walkability: There are sidewalks everywhere and it easy to walk the town
Food & drinks: There are great restaurants very close, highlighting the BlueBird, and the Mama Devechios pizzeria across the street.

I was blown away by how beautiful “the loft” space was. I had my Daughters 10th birthday slumber party there and could not have asked for a more perfect experience for me and all the girls. The hosts were so incredibly supportive and kind making sure to promptly answer any questions I had and make sure we all had a wonderful time. If I could give 10 stars I would in a heartbeat. Thank you all for helping make my daughters birthday Pinterest Perfect and an all around unforgettable experience.

I’ve stayed here several dozen times, and I always have a pleasant experience. The rooms are clean and cozy, the beds are wonderful, and the staff, especially Caroline, go out of their way to accommodate their guests. Give this place a try - you won’t regret it!

If you find yourself in or around Standford, KY The Stanford Inn at Wilderness Road is the only place to consider staying. The building itself is one of the town historic buildings that has been redone into the most cozy and comfortable rooms. Rooms are small, but they are more comfortable than any chain hotel I've ever stayed in. Fully adjustable heating and air unit in the room for your comfort. A fan is also provided. A gift bag of toiletries is provided in the room from Kentucky Soap and such which is located just a couple of door down on main St. My room was impeccably clean with fresh linens that still held the scent of a very pleasant laundry soap. I travel for work and the staff were more than accommodating as my work ours are not the typical 9-5. I would not even consider staying anywhere else in Stanford. There are houses/cottages available as well and I plan to come back for a leisure visit to stay in one of those.

We found the well-restored and comfortably-appointed rooms of the St. Asaph Hotel to be in keeping with the simplicity and uncluttered condition of what we expect was their original, circa 1920's design. Our two-night stay was very pleasant--the hotel was exceptionally quiet despite the wooden floors, the beds were quite comfortable, the "blackout" louvered shutters easily blocked out the early morning sun, and the AC performed outstanding effectively and flawlessly. Perfectly situated directly across the street is a barber shop and what turned out to be a fantastic little diner (The Bluebird), where I had some of the best damned fried green tomatoes I've ever eaten. All told, a great place to visit, slow down, and relax.

If I could give more stars, I would! My family as well as my husband and I stayed here for our wedding weekend. Each house was more impressive than the next! I cannot overemphasize the attention to detail and comfort present in these gorgeous homes. They were unbelievably clean and had anything you would need from kitchen supplies to wood and a lighter to make a fire in the fireplace. Better than anywhere I've ever stayed. My only regret is that we were not able to stay longer and truly relax and enjoy the coziness. We will be back!
