I have been taking my pets to this clinic as far as I remember, even prior to it being owned by Dr. Doan. Over the last 20 years of my adult life, I have developed a great relationship with the staff. They are always helpful and willing to answer my questions, even the silly or overprotective ones. During this 20 years, I have had to put to sleep many pets. The kindness and compassion of the staff at the Alexandria Pike Animal Hospital helped with the process. My pets are like family and they're in the best hands here.

I've been going to this veterinarians office since my German Shepard was a baby girl. They do a fantastic job with her and with notifying me of my appointments!

We’ve been taking our dogs to Dr. Doan for many years. We always get personal service, great customer service when we have a question, and he always follows up when we have a critical situation. We like the fact that Dr. Doan owns his own practice and always has the best interest of our pets in mind. The front office staff and assistants are very knowledgeable, patient and compassionate with our pets.

Dr. Doan and his staff took the upmost care of my cat!! He had an ear infection, teeth cleaning and some teeth pulled out. I’ve never seen a vet clinic this good and it was AFFORDABLE!! If I could give 10 stars, I would. We won’t ever go somewhere else!

I love this place! Much more comfortable/personal environment in comparison to large chains like Banfield. Staff is wonderful, very sweet and caring to my baby. Thank you !!

Love this place. I started taking my older dog here because that’s where my mother in law takes her dog and she recommended them. Even though I no longer live down the street from this clinic, it is still so worth the 45 minute drive it takes me to get here. When I got myself another dog, I never hesitated to take her to the same place as our other dog. My puppy had an emergency situation and they found a way to squeeze her in and they got us in and out fairly quickly. They don’t price gouge you and they are all personable and seem to care about you and your pets. I know taking my puppy elsewhere would have cost me so much more and she wouldn’t have gotten the great care she gets here. Highly recommend them

Love this place. My cat Meech was in and out within 30 minutes for an exam to get him ready for neutering.. and very well taken care of. Now, his neuter is scheduled very soon after and I’m so happy!!! Love the care this place puts into the animals that come there. Made me and my cat feel super comfortable. Affordable, great care, and quick. Come here for all your animal needs!

Dr. Doan and his staff here is always super helpful and knowledgeable about any questions I have. I always feel heard and not talked down to, which is something I look for as finding a good doctor. The staff is always super punctual and will work with me and my schedule. I couldn't have found a better vet!

I have been taking my animals to vets in all parts of the country for years. Dr. Doan at Alexandria pike animal hospital has been the best! His incredible knowledge base, communication skills, empathy are above all other vets I have met in my 16 years of owning animals. I trust and recommend Dr Doan for all animal lovers in this region. So much so that I drive over thirty minutes to be seen there. The care Dr Doan shows towards all animals alike is amazing to see.

I take my pit mix, Daisy, here every month or so for her nail trim, as I had a traumatic (for me) experience trying to do it myself when she was little and I vowed to pay what money was asked for a pro to do it, as small of a task for a vet as it may be, each and every time the actual DOCTOR does it and not staff, not that thats a problem. I see that as professional. They ask that I muzzle her (its her "party hat") because she barks and growls and I dont blame them for wanting a muzzle on a fussy pit! The doc is gentle, professional, and we even get our dog and cats flea meds there now too. My family will keep doing business with this office.

I took my dog here about a month and a half ago because she was limping (would hold LEFT foot up when walking). She was also chewing on her feet and shaking her head/ears constantly. After sedation and x-rays, the conclusion was that there was nothing wrong with her feet/ears, they were "great". She had arthritis in both knees, and actually WORSE in her right knee. We went home with nothing except suggestions of maybe putting her on a diet (118 pound 4 year old Rottweiler). We purchased Science diet food - put her on a strict diet. We were seeing progress, but she was STILL LIMPING and we knew that she wasn't limping because of her weight, or at least not JUST because of her weight. AND still chewing feet and shaking head/ears. Tried a new hospital... went there and right away they knew that chewing her feet/shaking head wasn't at all normal. Stated maybe she had a partial ACL tear in left leg - and after seeing her walk, was very confused as to why Alexandria Pike Animal Hospital said her RIGHT leg was worse. Left with 2 medications for her feet/ears (terrible bacteria infection). She hasn't chewed feet/shaken head since. We also went home with 2 medications for inflammation/pain for her leg to see if that helped. It helped a little, but not enough. We went back today for new x-rays. She now has a fully torn ACL and will have surgery this month. Bottom line, Alexandria Pet Hospital did NOT diagnose my dog correctly. We paid $400 for sedation / x-rays / visit for only incorrect information. I wouldn't take my worst enemy's dog here.
