Very highly recommended! Ricky knows houseboats so well! Did what he said he would do. I don’t know when we will get another houseboat but when we do we will use him and his crew. He wasn’t the cheapest, but I have found in life cheaper isn’t better, you always pay more for quantity. A+++ in my book and will be telling everyone at the docks who to use for service and transport!

I called California Houseboat Services in a pinch after being put off by another company and they came right to my rescue! I had my boat moved three days after I called them! Ricky, Lisa and their team were extremely professional and helpful! They went above and beyond what they had to do! They are really good hard working people and I would very highly recommend them for any of your boating transportation needs these people know their stuff! Not to mention their price was very fair!

I had forgotten to post this review until I noticed them launching a boat here at Taylorsville last week. This company is the worst. My husband bought our boat when he was in Afghanistan working. Ricky Lee promised to deliver the boat and make sure everything was working. We had a survey on the boat and it was perfect. They delivered my boat, took the remaining balance on the move and failed to finish putting the boat together. Ricky kept promising to come back and finish the boat but he never did. We ended up hiring Jackie Henderson to pull our boat out and fix the damage Ricky and to finish putting the boat together. My husband texted Ricky and even spoke with him about it and they never made good on it. One good thing about it was they ended up leaving tools and a ladder. Don’t know if they expected me to fix my boat myself or not. Considering I’m a older lady I would have thought they would have done better. At least we can now enjoy our boat thanks to Jackie.

This company moved our houseboat in May 2018. They made all kinds of excuses after taking our deposit to put off moving our boat. We paid a deposit to them in March and it was the end of May before we got the boat. The owner lied to us and ended up charging more for the move than we was told. The structure of the boat was comprised during the move, and should have been fixed by their Insuance company, instead Mr Lee fixed it and the problems are still there. I would never recommend Ricky Lee to move anything. I didn’t deal with him, I let my husband Sheldon. But this was a nightmare. We are currently looking for another houseboat, we will not be using this company again.

My husband and I have had CHS move our houseboats for nearly 20 years. Mr. Lee and his crew are experts in moving these large boats across the country in a professional and timely manner. Always stay until the job is complete and satisfactory to the customer.

Current customers can provide testimony legitimizing Mr. Lee’s continual non adherence to committed dates for service or houseboat move dates. His communications are highly unreliable and his pattern of operation is to consistently reprioritize & shuffle customer commit dates based on whichever customer can offer up the biggest bonus at any given time thus generating multi month delays. Regretfully Mr. Lee tends ignore all efforts to communicate and follow up for updates, explanations, and requests for recommits. Would not recommend his services to anyone seeking reputable customer service.

This company took an extra day to be sure my boat was pulled out safelyt and relaunched in great working condition. They explained everything that I questioned and made sure I was satisfied. The Lee's are great people as well as the crews that work with them. I highly recommend this group.
