My 11 year old daughter was in this store with myself, my 8 year old son and my mother. This was the first time I was in this store and it will be my last!!! When walking into the store, the store was completely empty. We were the only customers in there. My daughter saw a pretty scarf and tried it on. We then walked to the back of the store to look at other clothing. She was approached by the manager, Gail. She approached my 11 year old and asked her if she was planning on buying something. My daughter who is extremely timid immediately turned and said she was with her momma. This got my attention so I started walking over to to see what that problem was. GAIL, asked her again are you going to buy that? I don’t care if your mother is here I want to know if you are buying that. My daughter replied with “no mam”. I approached Gail and asked her if there was a problem?? She told me no, I was asking her if she needed help. My daughter said no you didn’t. Gail stared arguing with my 11 year old. I asked Gail if she asks everyone that? She continued to talk over me and argue with me defending herself that she has theft and teenagers in her store. My mom then approached and tried speaking to Gail but to no avail. Gail continued to argue and talk over my mom as well. I left the store with my children. My daughter is 11!!! Not a teenager or whom she was talking about coming into her store stealing!! She was upset thinking she did something wrong. I got to my car and immediately called the store to talk to the manager. When Gail came to the phone she explained that she was the manager and didn’t do anything wrong. She hung up on me!! I called back and she hung up on me again. I called for a third time and she answered. I asked for the store managers name who was in charge of her. She told me no. I have never in my life seen such a disrespectful person. I’m trying to raise a confident, kind, respectful young lady and this is how she is treated in a store because she was simply trying on a scarf and looking at pants!!!!! Talbots I’m very disappointed in how your employees treat young adults in this community!!!! My daughter does not deserve to be treated this way and I just hope other young ladies don’t have to go through the embarrassment and disrespect that my daughter went through.

Love the store, just need to check it out quite often. Sometimes they have a lot to choose from, sometimes they don’t, it just depends what they get in. But it is worth checking out very great prices.
