“The store is absolutely beautiful! Well lit, very nicely laid out! It was difficult to get to the deli to check it out as it was MOBBED with people lined up to get deli meats or their famous deli sandwiches. Everything was so well stocked. Staff was friendly and asked if we needed help out to our car even though we only bought one thing. That's rare to get asked that around here. Speaking of what we bought....don't pass up the New York style cheesecake with whole strawberries and strawberry glaze. Was covered in sliced almonds. Was so, so good!”

“Stopped in for just a few things. Preface: I do not like wal-mart. However, during my visit I encountered not one but THREE proactively helpful, friendly employees. One helped us find watches, another volunteered to bring me a cart (which I was in denial about needing), and another helped us with a barcode issue at checkout. Somebody in management take notice, your employees are doing it right!”

“I went in and was amazed by how clean and organized everything was both inside and out. It was BY FAR the nicest (cleanest) Dollar General I have ever been in. I live in Louisville and was running an errand (about 25 minutes or so away from my house) But because of my experience with a lady (manager, I think?) with a short blonde bob, I WILL make the trip again to this store. Her professional and friendly attitude coupled with the impressive store will have me travel back to this location. 10/10”

“I don't remember exactly what I went in for, but I recall the parking lot was easy enough to get in and out of and it was conveniently located next to my hotel. Of course you have the people of Walmart, but that a sideshow that's totally free and worth the price of admission!”

“I love the IGA on Shelbyville Rd. east of Lake Forest. They usually have at least one brand of every item on sale. And their fresh deli sandwiches and salads are very tasty. If you need something for dinner, there are rotisserie chickens and barbecued ribs right inside the front entrance. IGA also has a nice selection of frozen foods and ice cream. There is not a big selection of produce, but what they carry is fresh and flavorful, so I look to see what seems best on a given day. I would not go there for a big shop because not every item has a good price, but they usually have one brand of everything on sale. It is a fast in and out if you don't want to go into a big parking lot at a big store for a huge selection of groceries and non-food items. I would not recommend the Subway there, which is run by young looking guys who like to talk to each other. And the sandwich toppings are usually wet!Cheryl”
