Now that it is a done deal somewhere else I am posting this, the problem was diagnosed and repaired/tested in less than 2 hours at another location.I was told it would be looked at next week which actually turned out to be 3 weeks later. I was told it was a fuel pump so he ordered it and that was another week to get and a few more days to get it put in. I was told that didn't fix it but was going to check compression first thing in the morning, which I had told him I did before taking it in, I didn't ask what morning. I called the next week and was told he had other boats in front of mine that weekend but will check it tomorrow. I called two days later and was told his pressure gauge was leaking so he had to order another one. Called the next week every day and continued to get another story. I did not say I had changed pumps already (all 3 of them), hoping a bad one was the problem. 7 weeks that the boat was there, high school tournaments missed, the boat had been in use since the first week in January so it's not like it sat through winter, we lost it in Feb on Lay Lake Alabama. It would not stay running, several blog suggestions and Mercury tech help gave me ideas as to the problem.I went and picked up the boat, paid for another fuel pump. Took the boat to another shop, 2 hours later found Reed Valve was the problem, replaced and tested on the lake and all is good.I trusted all the good reviews but i feel that I was not in the good ole boy club and not important as I live 1.5 hrs. away.Very disappointed!Service: Engine repair

I had to take my boat in to have the ignition switch replaced, having used Sawyer’s Marine before to replace some lights I decided to use them again. And … like the first time they got me right in and fixed up! The price was good but the craftsmanship was off the charts AWESOME!!! And I’m sorry that I don’t remember the gentleman’s name who helped me but he was so kind, friendly, and knowledgeable!I will never use another boat service company! You won’t find a better place to take your boat or more friendly helpful people!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have an older Mercury brand engine & Sawyers Marine is the ONLY regional shop in the Barren River Lake Area that would work on it. Over TWO YEARS AGO, Marty (Manager), & Dusty repaired the carburetor, and my engine has been running like new ever since. Recently, I had a problem with the LOWER UNIT & PROP, and they had me repaired and back on the water the same day. Sure, I was lucky they had a small window between bigger projects to fit me in, but they stepped up & did the job.From Chrissy in the front office, to Mary & Dusty in the shop, I've NEVER been treated more professionally in a marine shop - EVER !!!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SAWYERS MARINE !!!Services: General repairs & maintenance

Ok , place . The gentleman I spoke with on the phone did not seem very knowledgeable about my boat engine , so I have declined to take my boat there .
