Absolutely loved our experience with Alisa and her crew with our little stubborn golden doodle pup, Poppi. This is the second dog we’ve sent here and they did a fabulous job once again. 100% recommend!

Not happy with our experience. Very hard to get ahold of them but that wasn’t our issue. We sent our dog here, she was 9 months old, she’s a German Shepherd, and she does okay with sitting down, laying down etc. but refuses to use potty training bells and uses the bathroom in her cage, regardless of if we’ve taken her out or not. It’s almost every time she’s in her crate. She’s also very bad about getting into trash, or chewing up anything she can get ahold of, which I hoped was the puppy in her, but nothing they did or what we’ve done stopped her. She’s going on about a year old and still can’t be outside her cage without close supervision.We sent her back for a refresh a few weeks after the initial training, and got the same results. We were told she did perfect for them. I’m just not sure if she really did perfect because it seems as if she doesn’t understand a single command or punishment etc.I’m not by any means saying the trainers are bad, I like the staff there pretty good. But the results we got were not worth what we paid.

they had a friend of mines dog, unfortunately she came down with some stomach issues and when she used the bathroom at this facility, nothing but blood came out of her, the employees asked the owner what to do and the owner said “it’s fine just leave it alone” and never contacted my friend about this emergency

I gave 2 stars only because the owner seemed like a nice lady and she seemed willing to work with us even after we picked our dog up. She offered to come to our house or take our dog back in for a week free of charge but I felt like it was a waste of time. That’s just my opinion so I didn’t do it. I do appreciate that. I understand that maybe some people have better experiences but this review is based on the effectiveness of the training our dog received. Darci, our little miniature Dachshund, was at the facility for around 3 weeks. We were mainly focused on potty training but as she was there the owner was gonna work with maybe sitting, nibbling habits, running after vehicles and maybe a few little tricks. Our main concern was potty training. So we go to pick our dog up and honestly we were so excited. The owner showed us a few things that Darci had learned. Obedience and tricks and Darci seemed to do pretty decent while we were there but I did notice it seemed like everything that Darci done involved a treat in the trainer’s hand guiding Darci but all in all we were hopeful. We even bought a little bell from the facility as Darci was suppose to be trained to hit the bell to signal potty time. We were glad to see our little Darci. Got Darci home, mounted the little bell low next to the door and low and behold about an hour or so after being home Darci done it. ??No she didn’t hit the bell, she used the bathroom in the house!??Haha. Now we were skeptical. So since then my daughter has tried to keep up with the potty, the tricks and obedience areas and she does okay but I honestly don’t think much of it was from the training but I believe a little of it was. I don’t think the bell beside the door has really ever been hit by Darci to signal potty time on her own but it’s a neat little wall ornament and when the dogs play they run into it every now and then. I guess as long as it is there and if they hit it every now and then I’ll be reminded of almost $1,300 that I wasted. Haha. ???? I’m not saying that anyone else will have the same experience but this is my honest experience with the training. Maybe it’s just my dog being stubborn. Either way I regret spending the money.

Alisa is the best! She is so good at what she does and thorough. Our Phoebe stayed w her for 4 weeks and Alisa walked us through how to handle different situations w our dog’s food aggression towards our cats. She’s answered so many questions and even made a house visit for us. Phoebe has made so much progress. We now have the tools to continue her success. I cannot recommend Alisa and her team enough!

I have had 2 dogs trained at this facility and both have been amazing. The owner is so kind and sends/posts updates and pictures. She even came to our home to correct some issues. I recommend to all of my friends and would absolutely use them again and again!!-Jessica Bowen

The best dog trainer I know! Our sweet Charlie was just a pup when we had him trained by Lake Cumberland k-9. He still knows all his commands and has the best manners. They have the cleanest and safest facility. He’s never once used the potty inside since being trained. I would highly recommend lake Cumberland k-9 training center!

I had one of my dogs trained here and I worked here part time for a couple months. Everyone who is a part of K9 training facility is FANTASTIC. They love and care for the animals. The facility is super clean - EVERYTHING was wiped down with cleaner.I’d def use this facility again to train another dog if needed. :)

I highly recommend Lake Cumberland K-9! Mrs. Alisa and her team are knowledgeable, calm and professional and provided our dog with excellent care and training! I have also appreciated the ability to board my dog here when we travel! We love this facility!

I’ve had 2 dogs trained by Lake Cumberland K-9. I have recommended them to several of my friends. We are 1.5 years out from training and my dogs are so well behaved! 10/10 would use them again for training!

We sent our dog there for training and when I say he was a changed puppy when we got him back is a understatement!! The entire staff was so nice and helpful and we was updated throughout the entire stay! I highly recommend sending your fur babies here!

Had my grand dog Cavalier King Charles “Ollie” trained here. He went from wild to obedient child. He rings his bell to go potty, and he’s the perfect house companion. Thank you! He lives with my son who moved to Colorado. They are inseparable.

I sent my Newfoundland Oliver to be trained, he stayed for their 6 week program and I couldn’t have been happier. Ollie done amazing and the staff treated him with love and plenty of cuddles. He is almost 2 now and his training he received from Lake Cumberland K9 is evident in his behavior. I am forever thankful to them for all they done for my big boy ❤️

I absolutely love Alisa she kept my baby for 3 weeks for training I was allowed to go see her she was very clean and looked really good and she was totally trained when I got her home I would definitely recommend her for anyone who needs they're dog trained or just to board them.

I had 2 who wouldn't get along, fighting to the point that I ended up at the emergency room. Life had become horrible trying to keep each girl on a different floor of the house, making sure doors latched, gates were up... I couldn't manage it. I found LCK-9 and was given a new relationship with my girls, Cora and Eula. Not only do they do the things that each dog should (sit, down, hit the bell to potty...), but they will sit on each side of me while I enjoy them. I cannot thank LCK-9 enough for the freedom she has given my home.
