Took my wife for her birthday and was concerned it would be a long wait upon arrival. Several friends recommended we either show up early, or late to avoid the crowds. We arrived on a Saturday at 3:30pm and to our surprise were the only ones in the dining room for our entire meal. We were in awe of the entire atmosphere......the music, the staff, the food, the wine, and the friendliness. We were able to talk with the owners and learn more about their experience bringing F&F into reality. Without hesitation.....my wife and I strongly recommend F&F.....anyone who appreciates good people, impeccable food/wine, and an all around beautiful experience you must make it a priority to visit the Farmer & Frenchman. F&F.....you made my wife's 50th birthday one to remember! Thank you!

Me and two friends had lunch here today. Everything was spectacular. The dinning area alone was so charming. It was 'modern meets rustic' and done so well. It was nice and cozy plenty of space. They keep the place neat and tidy. The staff, very polite and welcoming. The food was phenomenal! Everything made there, so fresh and pleasant.Safety: Wheelchair assesable.Food & drinks: Devine dishes and several wines made there to choice from.

We had a great time at Farmer and Frenchman Cabin. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does in the pictures. The place is very comfortable and quiet! Perfect to have a couple gateway and be disconnect from the daily routine. My husband and spent a weekend to celebrate our 17 years married and 25 years together. We would absolutely recommend staying there! ❤️Rooms: Very comfortable bed.

I’m in Kentucky for Birthday Party and my Bestfriends cousin advises that we must try Farmer & Frenchman for dinner. As I am all about a good meal I was all in.Driving up, especially at night can be a bit scary. However, I promise you, it’s in the back, and yes it is secluded but there aren’t any monsters. LoL! The outside scenery is gorgeous. It has the rustic feel of Midwest charm with the natural landscape of a winery. There are lights hanging all around which make for a great attraction as they guide you into the restaurant from the parking area. When I got there it was about 7pm and it was rocking. The ambiance inside was bright and upbeat. Everyone was engaged at their tables and the staff was all around working hard but still had smiles on their faces. Also, even with all that was going on in the restaurant the space was super clean. Nothing was out of place, and the interior decor has a rustic meets traditional flow that is perfect for any picture worthy moment. We had a party of 6 and were able to be seated immediately. Once seated it was exciting to just look around the entire restaurant and see the smiling faces and great food visuals that were on the table. By this time I was ready to eatttt. LoL!Tiffany arrived at our table and welcomed us in. She was very nice and had the best welcoming tone… After discussing the menu and what the specials were she gave us some time to decide on our order.Appetizers:Garlic Rolls - 4 mini Garlic rolls that put you in the mindset of garlic knots. They were fresh, delicious and such a tease. LoL.Bread - the bread is almost like a toasted pita style bread. It has the design and look of pita but the doughyness of a naan. It was amazing. It comes as one piece and we cut it up to share. Both of the above selections were very good. We ordered the Red and Alfredo sauces for the table as well and they were flavorful. My favorite was the red sauce as it paired well with both breads and carries its own flavor profile that elevated the bread.Main Course:Chicken ParmesanBabeeeeeeeeeeeee… When I say AMAZING!!!!!!!! This dish was spot on made by someone’s grandmother who has secured the family recipe for generations. The chicken was encrusted well and perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining moist and juicy on the inside. The cheese to breading ratio was perfect for the chicken breast and didn’t overpower the dish. The linguini was tender and well made. The red sauce provided as the balance of the dish as each element had an amazing flavor profile that I enjoyed individually. However, utilizing the sauce, it allowed for the dish to have a flavor mashup that reminded me exactly why this dish is always the King of the Menu on any menu.Farmer & Frenchman was an amazing experience. The food was absolutely flavorly astonishing and Tiffany’s service was above standard. The staff worked well together, and I highly recommend you stop in when in the area.

Everyone here are very friendly and courteous. Fantastic owners and the food is to die for! The atmosphere is romantic! We’ve been there five times and plan on another visit soon. We want to stay in one of their villas. It is approximately 205 miles from where we live and that never hinders us from going there! We always take friends or family with us. You will be impressed by the food, wine and atmosphere!! The couple that own the place are fantastic!! For a Romantic getaway and food like no other make the Farmer and The Frenchman your next stop !!!

Exceeded all of my expectations! Tons of parking with plenty of room for large vehicles. Side walks surrounding the gravel lot, allowing women to still wear heels and not have to walk in the gravel all the way to the door. We were 20 minutes early for our reservation and got seated right away with our water just steps behind us.Everything we ordered was above and beyond. I had no idea chicken could taste so flavorful, juicy, and light. The asparagus and mashed potatoes were a perfect pairing. We both were scrapping our plates trying to savor the food we just had. And they were good sized portions! The only place we have eaten at that is better than Gordon Ramsey’s, and it is a 3rd of the price! Book a reservation right now. You will not regret it, only that you should have tried it sooner. We can not wait to go back!

Attended an event this evening at Farmer and Frenchman, and couldn’t have been more impressed! We arrived early, and were welcomed by the owners. We did a wine tasting at the bar area before the event began, and our server was awesome, explaining each selection and very attentive. At the event, the tables were set beautifully. The food was fabulous-a great balance of fall tastes, from soup to dessert! We have been here several times before, and have always been offered excellent service and food! The location is just gorgeous-will definitely be back!

I attended an event here. I was so looking forward to it and sadly could not have been more disappointed. They were to pair wines with the different courses of our meal. The servings were so stingy. They were barely enough to taste. Many guests went to the bar to get wine. I paid $10 for half a cup of wine in a plastic cup. Definitely not classy. The event started at 7 pm. I was famished as I was expecting a good meal. At 7:20 we finally got our salad, what there was of it. Half an hour later we were served our soup in a large bowl and the soup barely covered the bottom of the bowl. We only got about 5 spoons full. When the main dish arrived around 8 pm, it was a chicken thigh with about 2 tablespoons of mashed potatoes, no vegetables. Dessert finally showed up at 8:45. I will not waste time or money to visit again.

Bravo to the staff of the Farmer and Frenchman! The event hosted there by the Evansville Philharmonic was a huge success. The food, wine, and ambiance were delightful as always. For those of you unable to attend (it was a sell out), you missed a lovely evening!

The cabins were clean, appointed nicely in a rustic but modern motif. We hosted a surprise birthday dinner in the Wine Cellar and the cabins were extremely convenient to the venue for an after party stay. We will stay again! The event option for private dining was an excellent setting for our daughter’s surprise birthday party. The website online date request form was answered promptly and with a quick phone call to discuss menu options we were set.F&F allowed us plenty of time to decorate. The staff were helpful. The family style menu experience was fantastic. A variety of delicious food for each course that was delivered to our table promptly without feeling rushed which also included a wine pairing to fit our guests likes and dislikes. Each dish and wine were described in detail. When I say this, I mean it, “Everything went perfect!” A huge part of perfect was F&F’’s staff. Shelby who assisted us in booking and menu was prompt, professional and courteous. Ben was professional, an exceptional wine connoisseur, listener and host. Everyone in our party said, “We felt so special and informed.”I am grateful for such a wonderful experience!

I have been going to F&F for years and have stayed in their cottages for as long as those have been open as well. The F&F experience is really unlike anything else in the area and I mean that in the best possible way.The food is diverse and delectable. The variety and quality of entrees is second to none…French cuisine, Italian dishes, American staples…just superb. I highly recommend that Duck Confit or the Chicken Parmesan. The charm of this part of Kentucky is embodied by the staff and ownership. The pleasantness, politeness, and warmth of the team makes the dining experience familiar and enjoyable. We are greeted by name and treated like family. The wine selection is the best in the area, hands down. Furthermore, their staff is well trained and will help make a wine selection that is perfectly paired with your meal. The decor and vibe are country rustic…exposed beams and brickwork coupled with repurposed tables and chairs…giving the place a tailored aesthetic that is appropriate for this part of the commonwealth. We use F&F for formal employee recognition dinners annually at our local business, so they do a wonderful job hosting larger groups too.I almost didn’t want to author this review because I want to keep this gem to ourselves!

Ate lunch for the first time. Beautiful location, beautiful buildings. The food was wonderful, it was a tough decision on what to order. Will go back again and again.
