Dr Taylor is wonderful, it’s obvious that he truly cares about the animals he treats. After moving away from Richmond, I continue to make the drive to go to Barnes Mill because I know my dog is getting the best care. I can usually get an appointment fairly quickly even though it’s a busy practice. Most of the front desk staff is friendly except for one woman who always seems like she’s annoyed to be helping customers. I just try to avoid her when going in.

Barnes Mill Animal Hospital, their staff and Doctors, do terrific work in our community. Meeting Dr. Taylor 24 years ago was among the best things to happen to me and my animal family. Caring for Pets and their People is really what they do. I and my animals could not be more grateful for their care and support. The addition of a text line makes communication for routine issues much easier and frees up the phones for more urgent needs. Thanks for what you do!

Dr. Taylor is an exceptional Vet. He cared for my dog Ella, who had lymphoma, and his great care gave me so much more time with her. And when it was time for her to go to heaven, he was exceptionally caring and compassionate.I highly recommend this practice.

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Taylor! He is so knowledgeable. I have been going to him for almost 20 years! He has truly saved the lives of several of my pets in urgent situations and has showed the utmost compassion in the most painful moments when I had to say good bye to them. Truly he is one of a kind!! The day he retires, will be a devastating day to the the fur babies in the community.

We have a long history with this practice. They even kept our diabetic Pomeranian alive years longer than he would have, had it not been for Dr. Taylor's sensitive treatment of our sweet fella.

known these good people since they opened and cannot say enough nice/good things about them! top notch big hearted people and whenever i see any kind of negative comments (which is extremely rare) i always shake my head and say aloud, im sure only half the story is being told. which based on the follow ups from those comments, always proves my point they ALWAYS treat every little loved one like they are their own, and id go to the grave on that anytime/anywhere! always remember all you good people that come to BMAH, sometimes, someone may bring a little loved one in that may be in more of a dire, life threatening emergency and obviously they will need the most attention first so be patient and ALWAYS know that your lil one will get the same treatment once that type of situation is controlled. we live in a very impatient world where i always like to say, "pay it forward, and it all will work out". ive had multiple loved ones over the last 30 plus years come here and not one time have i had a bad experience and that says alot! top notch veterinarian! period!Brian Williams and Family

So disappointed. This is the closest vet to my house and came recommended by someone. But it was pretty much the worst experience I've ever had with a vet - and we never even met the doctor. I mainly wanted to meet the doctor and establish my animals as patients so that we could get in in a hurry if we had an emergency. My 1st red flag was the fact that they had no appointments for at least 10 days. The 2nd was when I told them one of my animals had a wound that was open and needed attention they still couldn't get me in less than 10 days. The 3rd is when they acted as if we were still in the middle of 2020 and said they did not allow anyone in the building for appointments because of covid. The 4th is when they demanded money up front - 10 days ahead of my appointment, without knowing what they were going to actually charge me. Why I went ahead and made the appointment after all of this is beyond me. I show up for my appointment with dogs in tow, they bring me a tablet of forms to fill out in the car. One of them wants my flipping social security number!! Why in the world do they want my social security number when i have already signed that I promised to pay at the time of service and they've already taken my money?!?! I said I didn't want to sign it, but I did anyway omitting the ss#. She brought me back out my paperwork and a refund and refused to see my sick dog. Her claim was that there was only one doctor and they were way too much going on there, she said. Well if you're too busy to see patients, then you shouldn't be in business.

Dr. Taylor and his staff are the best . They take care of Blue Bear, in whatever he needs at the time of his appointment. Today was time for his yearly shots !!
