Couldn’t be happier with the owners or our sweet puppy Dixie (aka Sleepy/Burrito) Quick response to our inquiries about her initially and even held her until the next day for us because we were coming so far. She’s the smartest and most loving dog you could ask for. Travels with us trucking and is a true country dog at home on our farm. Love her to bits! Thank you so much!

How do you expect people to want to adopt from a shelter when the director is so rude, I wouldn’t want to go there and deal with her smart mouth. You aren’t helping animals by making people avoid the shelter.

Call to report a potential dead dog on 24 East about 1 mi west of mile marker 49. The outgoing voicemail message is muffled and barely audible. It goes on to say how overwhelmed everybody there is everybody is there and that if there's a concern to leave it on Facebook? Seriously? You can't manage a phone?

Very rude and unhelpful staff and director,makes one wonder how the animals are actually treated..Also, how is it an "animal shelter" if the only animal they take or do anything for are dogs?? Shouldn't it be classified as a dog shelter then.. it's misleading. Don't ask them anything about cats, they will act like you are a waste of their time

I'm only giving 1 star bc as the lady I spoke to on Facebook today wasn't too kind. I explained we had a dog show up on our porch this morning. I fed and watered him poor guy. I explained that we wanted to find the owners or get him where he was in the ac. There was bare minimal communication and not even a thank you for contacting us or anything. When I said thank you for her answering me and she just put up a post I had already posted there was no welcome or anything. As for the 2 gentlemen that came out and picked him up to take him in... there was no communication or thank you or anything of that nature. It's really sad to see how many people can be so ugly. I pray and hope the animals get better treatments. Editing my review after the DIRECTOR OF THIS ANIMAL SHELTER (HER NAME IS JAMIE) WANTED TO POST DRAMA ON FACEBOOK AS IF SHE WAS ON HIGH SCHOOL. HER POST WAS ABOUT ME AND MY HUSBAND BC OF HOW RUDE SHES BEEN DEFINITELY NOW AND HOW RUDE ANIMAL CONTROL WAS PICKING UP A DOG TODAY ALONG WITH DISPATCH. VERY IMMATURE AND UNSYMPATHETIC.
