I went on a fishing trip the first week of May 2024 to Kentucky Lake. My good friend and neighbor lent me his boat for the week. We we're traveling from Indiana. We we're 20 to 30 minutes from our destination which was Moors Resort and Marina. Anyway I had an issue with the drivers side spindle and wheel bearing on the trailer. The spindle was broke and the bearing was bad. I was scrambling to find a shop to fix it. I came across Snows Truck and Trailer. I took the trailer to them on Saturday. When I first spoke to the lady on the phone she was very nice. I explained my situation to her. I explained that I was in desperate need for this trailer to be fixed. She said they could handle it no problem starting on that Monday which I was ok with. I had the boat and trailer towed on a flat bed to Moors Resort then unloaded it. I put the boat in the water then had the trailer towed back to the shop. Communication was just ok. I needed it fixed. I'm 6 hours from home and I wasn't sure what to do. For the most part they seemed like a reputable company and I'm sure they are if you're a local. Anyway I spoke with my friend and he asked me to have Snows to replace the passenger side bearing also to be on the safe side so I told them too and they said ok they will replace it. Wednesday came around and I had to call with an update. It was finished. Now mind you I never once was able to get a price over the phone before and after the repairs. I kept being told the bill isn't wrote up yet. So I go to pick it up. I'm figuring it will be around $500. I don't own a boat, but I've operated them a lot and I've pulled plenty of trailers in my lifetime. So I know a little. I get there and the price was over $1100. I knew that didn't sound right. I called my friend and told him. He was that should of been a $400 job. But he knew I was stuck because of my situation. Anyway they fixed it until I got home later that week. Come to find out they never replaced the passenger side bearing like I asked them. All they did was add grease. Also there was hardly any grease whatsoever after my friend looked at it. So for a spindle, one wheel bearing and grease was $1100? $600 for labor? $500 for parts? No way! I truly believe they saw me coming. They definitely took of advantage of me. One because of being an out of towner. Two not having to much knowledge of the whole situation. I truly believe if I was a local or knew them personally that price would of been under $500. I'm glad that they got it at least road ready to get us home but I was played. I feel like I was suckerd.

Had a trailer wheel bearing go bad and destroy the spindle on my boat trailer about 20 mins from its destination, they ended up having to replace the whole spindle and bearings. I wanted them to also go ahead and replace the passenger side as well since they usually come in pairs like bearing buddies set. I was shocked when I got the final bill of almost $1100 for 1 new spindle and bearings and the bill said they renewed the passenger side which they just put new grease in that side. So, after it was said and done, I now have 2 different styles of bearing hubs at a cost of $1100. I don't see there being $600 in labor, and 500 in parts for one bearing set and one spindle and they replace a $50 trailer jack which should of taken 15mins tops to install. I was an out of towner and at their mercy and feel I was taken for a ride. I appreciate them getting the job done before the boat had to be loaded back up and driven back to Indiana but at the price, I paid I could of installed a whole new axle or at the very least it should of had matching bearing sets. It was a friend who was using the boat, and I was out of state and there never was any communication to him about repairs or cost until, the work was done.

Very bad experience with them. These guys aren’t normal. They’re installing consumable parts and not even replace some, which has to be replaced, but they’ll charge you for them…!

This is the best shop I have ever needed...my transmission decided to go wonky. Started with the obvious possibilities..eliminated 1 or 2 problems with common sense. When digging deeper and finding parts sticking with surface rust..instead of just replacing with new..$$.Took the time to clean and remove the offending gunk and rust..saving$$. So...In conclusion..these guys are old school cool..smart..experienced..and using the common sense God gave them to do the right thing for the customer. Not in it to get rich over night. These folks deserve your business.
