Founded by Ernest "Ray" Hibbs, working in insurance at night while maintaining employment as a chemist at Union Carbine (USEC), Ray made the switch full-time agent in 1977 upon retiring as a chemist. Ray's son Mike joined his father in November of that same year, 1977. Mike is now President/Owner of Hibbs Insurance, welcoming his children, Jason and Jennifer into the family trade, with eyes on continuing the business into the future.
