READ BEFORE DOING BUSINESS WITH ELITE/JAKE (OWNER). I took my vehicle in on Tuesday and talked to Larry (at the front desk) and explained I brought my own brake pads and rotors and they are in the back of my jeep. Larry told me I would be charged 92.00 for the front and 92.00 for the rear (for labor). I went to pick up my jeep today (Thursday) and Larry said they screwed up and put their parts on my jeep and didn't use my parts. Larry talked to Jake (Owner) and said they will charge me what I paid for my pads and rotors when I bought them from AutoZone. I looked up the prices online and showed Larry. Larry showed Jake the prices I paid at AutoZone and then looked at me and started to yell at me. He said," This is the last time I will allow customer parts to be used." He blamed me for their screw up and never took ownership of them using their parts. He accused me of not telling them my parts were in the Jeep, but I explained to Jake (Owner) and Larry that I have always brought in my own parts from AutoZone because I get a military discount. Jake (Owner) said I should have dealt directly with him, which is impossible because Larry is the one at the front desk and Larry is the one that answers the phone. Jake (Owner) also got VERY mad because I texted one of the techs to tell him to put on all four rotors if my rotors were bad. I explained to Jake (Owner) why I texted his tech and he wasn't having it. I have taken my 5 vehicles to them over the years and within the last year, I took my customer owned brake pads and rotors and had them put them on my daughter’s car and wife's van and had no issues. I have never gone in there and used their parts. Jake (Owner) continued to yell at me saying it’s my fault. I told him I couldn't believe anyone would run their business like he is doing, especially yelling at a customer and not owning their screw up. Jake (Owner) didn't ask me any questions to get all the facts, but he assumed he knew everything and he didn't. What makes things worse is he was yelling at me in front of other customers. Extremely unprofessional! To sum up everything, we agreed on me paying for labor (92.00). I offered 2 times to pay him for what I paid Autozone for the parts, but Jake (Owner) was ready to be done.
Maybe Jake was having a bad day, which we all have bad days, but I will never do business with Elite Tire and Auto again.

I've used this place twice for new tires, mounted and balanced, and both times were perfect all the way around.

I’ve used them a couple times. They are cheap, easy to work with and seem to do the job right! Would highly recommend to anyone needing a mechanic.

Travel Healthcare worker in the area for a contract. A huge bolt ended up in my tire and had to call roadside service. Was told it would not be fixable by a different source. Contracted these guys based on a Google review that was not.like any other...you will know it when you read it. Integrity and honesty are huge to me. Randell, Jake and the other guys were professional and extremely kind. They fixed the tire in less than 15 mins and had me back on the road. A huge relief as I don't know anyone in the area and very much needed to have a vehicle to get to work that same day. These are my guys while here...only because I can't take them with me. Owensboro is fortunate to have this shop.

Had brakes and rotors done very quickly and for a good price. Went back about a month later to have a bad wheel bearing replaced. Bearing ended up being stuck and they damaged the axle during the repair. Instead of telling me the axle was bad and charging me, they were completely honest and told menthat they damaged it and completely covered the cost of the axle. VERY honest people and earned my business.
