People here need to get priorities in check. Was told I couldn't put my indoor dog on a lead to use bathroom unless I bought a house with straw and food and water bowl... Just to use the bathroom. And continued to harass and bother us for weeks on end and even showed up yesterday. When I asked jessica why an indoor dog would need a house he wouldn't use because he has a bed and supplies inside she never gave me an answer and seemed adamant on taking my dogs. I was confused especially since it's a 50ft or more lead, but said she'd take my dogs over going out to use the bathroom for 30 mintues. She Also said it didn't matter if he could jump the fence without the lead and get hit (I'm by a busy road) because the dogs were in more danger by being on the lead to go potty for 30 minutes before being let back inside where they live full time. So I bought a stupid house and water bowl and food bowl(that they don't use at all to comply with with her stupid rules. Also my dogs are huskies and it was about 67° outside and she said it was "too cold" for a husky. It was the most ignorant thing I've EVER heard coming out of a persons mouth that works with dogs. But when I file a complaint about the neighbors yappy terrier who is let out EVERYDAY with no leash who has nipped me twice and attacked my dog who has a scar now on his face on our own property that is fenced in but their rat can fit through the space the gate latches at. they never responded and just sat around twiddling their their thumbs and too worried about responsible owners to deal with dogs that are actually being a nuisance. And the neighbors with the yappy dog im convinced are the ones calling in reports that have been false and proven false everytime. Why keep taking calls from the neighbor who is mad I told them the next time their aggressive dog came onto the property it wouldn't be leaving because I can't have a dog biting my 1 year old and attacking my dogs. The cops were even called not even two days ago because I have a husky I got Very recently who is extremely fearful when I got him and will just scream if you startle him. Cops came and checked all three of my dogs out and said they looked amazing and saw no problems. These people knowing all this information still came out today. If you've came to my home this many times and they've always had plenty water treats and too many toys their own dog beds and all vet records are upd with microchip information... Why tf are you people especially that Jessica B$tch still not smart enough to leave my family tf alone? It's to the point of either just contacting an attorney and police involvement because I'm DONE with this low IQ having bitter broke bored bitcc named jessica. My breeder I got my dog from has had issues with you guys for making it difficult for them to get a dog that was stolen from a bitter ex and didn't want to give the owner their dog back. I have so many pictures, friends and family who all could tell anyone our dogs are loved and cared for. So if you want to deal with a bunch of people who have no common sense and are sketchy go to daviess acac. If you have a dog and don't rent invest in a privacy fence and some cameras because they are sketchy and will make up any excuse to take your dogs. The funniest part to me is I've been volunteering for animal shelters since I was 14 and WAS A FOSTER IN INDIANA. and I recently just stopped schooling to have my son to be a vet tech... They need to be shut down or investigated because I've NEVER dealt with a place as pathetic, money driven animal control or shelter in my life. Pics and videos of my "beaten and neglected dogs" below

I always knew there are beautiful animals here needing attention and furever homes and that volunteers are welcomed. Having adopted cats here, I knew they receive veterinary care both preventive and as needed. I didn't know until this month that they have traps to loan out ($40 refundable fee when trap is returned so technically FREE). Never so happy as when their trap caught this squirrel running noisily about my attic. If you are looking for a pet, look here first. If you have free time and enjoy animals, consider volunteering here. If you are bothered by wildlife such as I was...now you know.

I posted a review 5 years ago, that I'm now editting. My husband and I were interested in adopting a new dog, we got approved for adoption and when we visited the shelter everyone was very friendly. Only reason for 4 stars is we were having trouble with finding someone to help us at one point during our visit, as we were wanting to walk one of the dogs we were interested in.
