This is hands down the best auto body shop around! If you're on the lookout for a place with amazing, friendly, and professional mechanics, this is it. I came in for an oil change and had a great experience. Plus, they were voted the top-rated service center in 2023 by Car Fax!
A quick tip: try to get here as early as possible since they open at 8 am from Monday to Friday. Parking can be a bit tight, so I'd recommend parking along the street and not even look for a spot in the lot. I'll definitely be coming back here again!

My husband and I were traveling when a Reduced Engine Power message came on. The team at John Clay got us right in without an appointment and diagnosed the problem. Because it was a Saturday and the part was not a standard stock item, they were not able to fix it that day, but they went above and beyond to help out of towners get a rental car until our car was ready. I cannot say enough good things about how friendly and knowledgeable John and his team were. If you ever want to open a shop in northern Indiana, we'd support you 100%.

We wanted to express our appreciation for your all-around GREAT service experience. Being on the road, away from home, and needing to replace our car battery led us to your service center. From the initial phone call as we attempted to find an Interstate battery, we found the help we needed. When we arrived at the service center, the correct battery had already been set out for us. Our very short wait in the clean and pleasant waiting area was less than 30 minutes, even though we rolled in mid-afternoon with no appointment. Everyone we encountered was cordial and efficient. The icing on the cake? Absolutely the cleanest restrooms we visited while on vacation!
If we lived in the Nicholasville area, you can be certain that we would be loyal customers of John Clay Automotive. Thank you for taking a trip-breaker and turning it into a dream-maker!

I am a first time customer. I was met with a friendly, knowledgeable and personable service team. They took the time to help me find the best tires for my 2018 Tundra and I could not be more pleased. They also replaced brakes and had my truck back to me at the time they said. The owner spoke with me when I picked up my truck, answered any question I had and gave me tips on future service. The guys at John Clays are great guys, great mechanics. My wife’s car had some brake issues, they replaced brakes and rotors and had it back to us the same day. Great service, I would definitely recommend for anyone needing auto repairs!
