Was a couple minutes early for my appointment. I said "hello" upon entering but did not get any acknowledgement. Megan was still busy with a prior client. After about 15 minutes she was finally done. Instead of now addressing me she just stood there, chatting away with the 2 clients and the second hairdresser while the minutes ticked away. I finally had it and left.
Megan clearly does not need my business. Good for her! I did find that behavior rude and disrespectful of my time.
After I left I received a text from Megan where she apologized for her behavior by saying: "This is a small town salon and We are all friends here. I am only human..."
I did not know that small towns make for unprofessional service. ?
Oh and in the end I am actually grateful I had this experience as I found a lovely, kind and fun hairdresser who only charges $25 instead of the $45, Megan is asking. Had seemed to me a bit much from the get-go, being in a small town "where we are all friends".

Just moved here and found this place through Google and reviews. My mother went first and I came in a few days later. We are both super happy with our hair cut and colors! Literally the best haircut of my life at a great price. I was going to a salon in Lexington and the cost is lower for better quality. I would definitely recommend Megan if you're in the market for a new stylist.

I only scheduled with Megan, because the hairstylist that I had an appt with had canceled on me last minute. I searched the Google and found CLHD; Megan had one slot open on that day. I scheduled and never regretted it. After this hair cut, it was the first time that I was comfortable wearing my hair down at work (I work in a hospital). I have curly hair but it can get kinda crazy. When I came and explained what I liked and didnt like, by her responses I could tell that I can trust her that she won't mess things up. She didn't. I belive that she may be the last hair stylist that I needed to look for. I'm glad I found her.

This was my first time in a salon and my hair has some damage and SHE HAS SAVED MY HAIR!! It has never had so much life in years, I wanted to go from my blonde closer to my natural brown and she executed better than I ever could have thought I am so in love with my new hair! 10/10 would recommend to anyone

Megan did an amazing job with my hair! She listened to my thoughts and gave suggestions since I didn't know the exact style I wanted . My hair was really long and I was considering going short. I fully trusted her throughout the process and I'm obsessed with my new style. She also helped fix my daughter's hair when she cut it herself (as any 4 year old is susceptible to do). She did so well with her! I'm always skeptical when I switch stylists but I'm so glad I did because she did such a good job.

I chose City Lights based on the number of very positive reviews. I was not disappointed! Megan is friendly, professional and really good at her job! I took my mom there, mom's had the same bob cut for 20 years. Megan showed her how to have a new, easy, attractive curly hairstyle that mom loves! She just did a free consultation with my teenage son who needed help with his curls. She gave simple, easy to follow advice that he accepted, miracle of miracles, and we've got an appointment for later in the month.Service: Hairstyling

10/10 recommend. Megan went above and beyond with my hair, and I am just so completely in love with it. And I was really Impressed with her timing since my hair is soo thick and long. Another thing I was really impressed with where I have seen many others lack, is sanitation!
