Two women told me I didn’t make enough to get the child tax credit and you have to make a minimum of 25k to get the CTC. But she couldn’t give me any info on how she figured this out, where she got this number, why I’m the only person being told this when several thousand other people claim the CTC and make under 25k. I found one case where someone didn’t qualify for the CTC and they made much less than I did. I found several people who made much less than I did and still got it. Not sure if they missed a zero on my paperwork and put in the wrong amount or if this is something they decided on themselves. The refund they were going to get me was less than how much it was going to cost to file with them. But luckily I got multiple opinions from other companies and filed somewhere else. I DID qualify for the CTC and it made a difference on my refund. I really hope they didn’t do this with several other people. However, everyone I came into contact with was very nice and the woman at the front desk was so sweet. The two preparers I talked to were also very nice and never rude but still a pretty big mistake was made.

Sherry Graunhaus (sic) is my preparer. I've tried several times by phone & email through the year to contact her, as I've yet to receive the last stimulus (for 3 people) nor my tax refund. The IRS site is of zero help to me which is why I went to H&R Block in the 1st place. Now I'm getting notifications that there's a deadline of midnight TONIGHT to collect any stimulus yet received. What a joke this place is. Some of us will literally lose our lives without the funds we're expecting from the government!!

I've never filed prior to this tax season, and knew very little about how everything worked. Dawn was really nice and fast, and a great communicator. Also have talked to two different front desk workers and they both have been very kind ladies. Always nice to have patient and nice people help someone who is very unfamiliar and uneducated when it comes to things as complicated as taxes.

I have been filing my taxes with H&R Block for the past 20 years. They have always been very helpful and up front with any and all information. They make sure to walk you thru the entire process, assuring you understand everything before moving on to the next step, they take the time to let you ask questions, if they don't know the answer they always find it.

Block has been doing my taxes for years. Last year, there was a discrepancy with the state, and Block paid for the discrepancy.
